This is the worst place I’ve ever stayed.

First off this place is NOTHING like the picture there are holes in the wall growth under the toilet blood in the lobby furniture old and ripped this place shouldn’t even be open. Came for a graduation so glad I’ll never come back to Columbia Mo. this is by far the worst place I’ve EVER been to. This is up there with skid row. DO NOT EVER STAY HERE.

Would leave negative stars if I could. Took a half hour to check in while the colorful clientele were entering and leaving mostly without masks. The smell of cigarettes and marijuana should have been our first clue. Opening the door to room 123 revealed a rusting bashed in refrigerator and dishwasher with beat up 1980s cabinets was just the beginning of the disaster. The food in the microwave and stained countertop continud. The rest of the room and bathroom did not improve the impression. The only thing good was receiving a full refund and leaving the worst hotel ever seen.
Needs some TLC

Booked it for the price. And, it being a Choice Hotel, expected it to be in a lot better condition than what it is. Granted, it is an extended stay hotel, so I was expecting a little more wear and tear since they have a kitchen. They no longer provide dishes or utensils so bring your own. They apparently are short on towels too. Super thin toilet paper, kind of like just using your hand. Carpeting is well worn, holes on it. It was supposed to be a non smoking room, but you have to walk through a hallway of smoke to get to it. Burn holes in the sheets. It's been put on my do not repeat list, but you might like it.
Nothing like the photos - old and broken stove

My first warning sign should’ve been that the room looked nothing like the photos the hotel posts online. But after a second day of driving 14 hours, we were fine with a place that was older, had scuffs on the walls and scratchy sheets with holes in them. We were excited to have a kitchenette so we could cook a real meal for breakfast, our first on a cross country move. But after prepping all the ingredients, we discovered the stove top didn’t work at all. Neither burner turned on. Now, we had to plan to go buy breakfast somewhere, which would put us behind schedule on top of wasting the groceries we bought for the meal but had no way to bring with us. What do you do with cracked eggs? Upon checking out, I asked for a partial refund and the manager said, “I can give you $5 but I’m not even supposed to give you that.” I asked to speak with the owner, and he said the owner lives in Chicago. I asked the manager to have him call me, so I wrote down my name, phone and email. He said, “I guess I’ll have to scan this to him but I don’t think he’ll call.” It’s been 12 hours since checkout and no word. I’ve been a fan of Choice Hotels and a member for years. This was my first bad experience with any of their properties.
A low price with a large but average room.

We stayed here on our way through Columbia. We were looking for a low price and a decent night’s sleep. This hotel delivered on both accounts.
Check in was fast and friendly. The rooms were large with a small but functional kitchen, a comfortable bed, a desk and couple of chairs. The room wasn’t fancy but was nice enough for the price. It’s an older hotel and could use some attention. We each had a quiet night and didn’t have any noise complaints. The hotel was located just off the Interstate and conveniently located near stores and restaurants.
The hotel is not fancy but if you’re looking for an affordable room at a decent price is Columbia, it’s a good option.
