Room Canceled without Notice!!

I booked our room the morning of our trip through Priceline. At the time there was several options but Staybridge was the best quality for price at the time so we booked there. When we arrived at the hotel that same afternoon we are told by the front desk representative that simply our reservation has been canceled. As we stand there confused and searching for our emailed reservation from Priceline the representative tells us it's because pretty much they never received payment from Priceline. I proceed to tell her that Priceline charged my account and she states "yes but that charge was to them not us". I asked "why didnt anyone contact us by phone or email to notify us of the cancelation?", her response was "oh im sorry, we dont have a number for you", then why not pick up the phone and call Priceline?!! I felt there was no responsibility from any party. Priceline refunded our money but this experience left such a sour taste I do not see myself using Staybridge or Priceline in the future. It was difficult for us to find a hotel afterwards in the area. I couldn't help but think what if this had happened on a busy holiday weekend. We would have been left without a place to sleep and Staybridge and Priceline could care less. I'm still dumbfounded by the way Staybridge handled this situation. When we arrived at the hotel we eventually ended up staying at the representative there advised this is not the first time they have people come to them searching for a room because Staybridge canceled their reservation.

Horrible Experience: Bride/Groom Room

During wedding planning, this hotel seemed perfect for our guests and us. The manager was polite while assisting us in blocking rooms for our guests. What seemed so perfect, was no longer on our wedding day when the hotel canceled our room upon arrival. The hotel claimed to have contacted us on our wedding day to notify us our card was not functioning, but as you would suspect we were a little busy getting married and not checking our phones. We called on multiple occasions after booking to assure our room was on a different floor than our guests and to assure everything was set. Fast forward to around 1 am after our reception, we arrive at the hotel only to find out our room was canceled and there were no longer any rooms for us to stay the night. There we were, my husband and I without a room on our wedding night, meanwhile, our guests were in the hotel. We were left with no other option than to leave the hotel and grab an uber home around an hour away. There I was in my wedding dress and my husband in his suit getting inside an uber because of the horrible management at Staybridge Suites. You could imagine how furious my husband and I were and still are. Not to mention, our credit card was working perfectly fine. I write this to prevent any future brides/grooms from having to go through this ordeal. Be warned, you may not have a room on your wedding night.

The hotel was nice and in walking distance of stores and restaurants. The room was clean with all of the amenities that you would need for a short or extended stay. Staff was friendly and helpful. I would stay there again.

My family stayed here for a basketball tournament. To be recognizes and valued as a guest was amazing. We received a very genuine welcome from the front desk staff, Amber and Breanna. The authenticity, respect and kindness made the difference to inspire our loyalty to return when ever we're in town.

Horrible Experice

Let me say the location is in a good area, not to far from Glen Ivy so it was nice, however the service there was beyond poor. We arrive well after check in, 5pm. to be exact. Upon checking in, they advised they needed an extra 15 mins to finish up, which was ok by me. They also advised they would have all the necessary things I needed such as the bedding for the pull out couch since we had 5 people in the suite, extra towels (since 2 would not cut it for 5 people). I understood since everyone is trying to work with what staff they have due to the shortage. I left to go grab a bite with my group, we were gone a little over and hour and still nothing from the hotel, finally it's ready. We go get the keys after a long day and the room is nice spacious and what we could tell clean. We all need a shower from our long day so we see only a few towels, we call the front desk, no answer. We call housekeeping, now answer. I tried for over 10 mins. I called from my cell to the main hotel number and Is got thru. I asked if they could bring 5 more towels up and the person (male) at the front desk rudely said "oh you can come get them down here". I said since we just got into our room and waited over 3 hours to get in, please bring them up. We all waited about 30 mins, we understand it wasn't going to be instant but in a reasonable amount of time, and still nothing. We finally had to go down stairs to get them and when asked if we can have the towels (2 of the ladies in our group) the man at the front desk again was rude to them and said “here”. Now I know customers service is hectic and can be stressful, however the hotel needs to put that happy face on and show some respect and consideration after all I didn’t request any thing more than my room when I was told 3 hours later my room wasn’t ready. Now here comes the kicker, we are all ready for bed after our showers, we look for the bedding for the pull and yet again the wonderful staff didn't leave in the room. I had enough, I went down stairs to discuss with the staff and found out the gentleman’s name (Kolby, Colby, Colbey) is the rude person at the front desk and on the phone and the lady was apologetic. However, this is just to much for me to deal with when you go away from the hectic days of everyday life. I hope you all see this post and make yourself aware of the hotel and I certainly wrote to the manager and corporate.
