I’d give it 4 1/2 stars

Avaliou em 23 de janeiro de 2022

I stayed three nights at this hotel. I was really impressed. It wasn’t 5 star but a solid 4 to 4 1/2 stars for a Marriott hotel in a small town. Very clean. Very convenient isn’t to chain restaurants off the interstate. Not noisy. Seemed pretty new.

Not For Me Personally

Avaliou em 7 de setembro de 2021

Overall, the stay was decent and there were some frustrations to say the least. Let's start with the positives. The hotel in convenient to I-16 which was a bonus and convenient to various food options within a short drive. My room started off quiet and appeared to be clean which are always two must have items for a frequent traveler. The quiet element faded on my second evening when the air conditioning started making a squeaking noise. I dealt with this for 20 minutes or so hoping the noise would fade. As the noise continuously got louder I finally had to turn off the air to not hear the annoying squeaking noise any longer. This was not completely terrible but when it's 89 degrees outside not optimal (sarcasm). The breakfast does not start until 7:00 which is bit frustrating for business travelers as most business guests depart the hotel prior to 7:00 am in my experience. Additionally, when simply asking the morning staff member a question regarding the location of utensils she seemed as though I was not worthy to speak to her person. My overall impression of the individual was drama and attitude. We all have bad days and I get that element, but in a hospitality industry compiled with the digital age this personification of drama and attitude is not acceptable. With that said, all other staff members seemed to have a great attitude for the most part when speaking to them in person. Lastly, on the positive side, the hotel wifi seems to work well for streaming. As a business guest with virtual meeting occurring regularly hotel wifi is always an important variable for my business. The biggest issue for during my stay was someone else's body hair was in the shower (nasty). When I called down to the front desk to address the concern the staff member seemed to be almost dismiss my concern. I did not receive an offer to change rooms or even an apology for the unhygienic variable. As I pressed the staff member to address the concern the staff member stated they would advise housekeeping and management of the issue. I am sorry to be negative, but as a guest who stays in Marriott properties over 75 nights a year this is not the standard experience. The hotel is marketed as one of the newest hotels in Dublin; however, it might be the next closed hotel in the area soon if changes are not made by management soon.

Smoke smell still there

Avaliou em 5 de setembro de 2020

I saw another review regarding the smoke smell and I can say that it is still there in September 2020. It hits you strongest in the lobby but you start to notice it in the rooms after a little bit. Hotel has good location off Interstate 16 and is quite modern. The elevators were fast. Rooms were standard Fairfield Inn. The bathroom was clean but a bit small. Shower had nice pressure. The bed was awful. While the mattress was okay, the blankets and sheets were quite itchy and not pleasant to sleep with. The pillows were too plush—when I put my head down on it, the stuffing dispersed to the edges of the pillow. The lights from the parking lot were bright enough to shine under the blackout curtains which was annoying. I appreciated the free breakfast but the coffee tasted so bad it was undrinkable. Overall a solid, but very basic choice.

Quiet. Clean. Modern

This property is my favorite hotel in Dublin. Very close to the Interstate, gas and quality restaurants. Ample, well lit parking. Very friendly and professional staff. Rooms are modern, well appointed and quiet.

Grounds were clean! Room immaculate! Young lady that checked me in was very pleasant and efficient! So happy I drove out of my way to stay at this hotel! I wish I could remember the young lady’s name so she could be recognized for her superior customer service skills! Best free breakfast in any hotel that I have stay, hostess was very nice!
