Best holiday I’ve ever been on in my life everyone was so lovely and couldn’t do enough for you if you’re ever in Croatia and need somewhere to stay come here because it was honestly amazing 10/10⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Would recommend Villa Fontana!

My partner and I have just recently returned from a 2 week stay at Villa Fontana. The apartments are in a great location with a 5-10 minute walk to the beach and around 20 minutes to the town. There is a regular boat service from the local beach to Dubrovnik. Janet, the owner, has excellent knowledge of Cavtat and is able to answer any questions you have. We only had two issues with the apartment. 1. We locked ourselves out the safe (our fault!) and 2. The bulb in the bathroom light went out (which happens everywhere so wasn't really a problem!). On both occasions, we rang Janet up and she was more than happy to help us. We managed to sort the safe ourselves although Janet was going to come and fix it for us. With the light, it was easily fixed within 2 hours of reporting the problem.We found the apartments to be very clean and really quiet. The pool is quite small however, we never found it to be busy and out of the 2 weeks we were there, we spent around 7 days chilling at the pool. There were always sunbeds available. We watched the pool get cleaned regularly throughout our stay as on our pool days we went down early when it was getting cleaned. As the apartments are self catering, there is no bar. However, there is a fridge with an honesty box which you pay at the end of the stay. We found this to be very helpful on days when we forgot to pop to the shop. We spoke to Janet on various occasions throughout the holiday. Whenever she saw us, she took the time to ask how the holiday was going and if we were okay. On our last day, we had been talking to Janet and told her we were returning home to finish buying our first home together. That night, we returned to the apartments to find a congratulations card on the bed. I thought this was a lovely touch and shows how much they care about their guests! We will hopefully return to Cavtat in the future and if we do, we will certainly be staying there again!

We(group of four) stayed in Villa Fontana for ten days. Although the room was a bit small, the amenities were good. They had a nice swimming pool with beach chairs and parasols by the side. In our room, we had air conditioning, a microwave, a hob, pots and pans, a hairdryer and hangers. The manager, Janet, was helpful and spoke English fluently. Villa Fontana is located a short walk away from the old town. Overall, a nice place.

Very noisy

Booked a one bedroom apartment for what we hoped would be a quiet relaxing week. We found the villa to be very noisy as it tends to be booked by groups split over several apartments also above us were the en-suite rooms which were let by the night for people who wanted to be close to the airport, so we had 2 rooms above us where people would be up very early making quite a lot of noise, although we appreciate it was unintentional it led to disturbed sleep every night. In fact we got so fed up we went to the nearby hotel to see if they had rooms as we were going to move out. We also got the guests from above expecting us to be the owner as we were the first apartment and on 3 occasions we had people knocking at our door and on 1 occasion a lady just walked straight in. The bedroom was also very hot as the air conditioning is in the living area only, so in order to keep the room cool we had to leave the bedroom door open, which of course meant we had no barrier from the noise directly outside our apartment door, which when large groups are coming in late at night, again disturbed us. The swimming pool is very small and down some very steep steps, we couldn't get a sun-bed on our first day so never bothered to use it, the sun is only on the pool until mid afternoon, so if you want to sit in the shade you will probably get a sun-bed then. The owner Janet was very pleasant as others have said, however, once I mentioned I was finding it very noisy she didn't really want to know. The villa is approximately a 25 minute walk to Cavtat town past a few bars and restaurants. We spent most days at the beaches around Cavtat and the Penisula areas and then ate lunch in Cavtat town. One day we visited Kupari beach which is a sandy beach overlooked by some abandoned hotels, it was nicer than it sounds and we enjoyed our day there. Download the Uber app if you are going to be out and about, even for going to and from the airport its a lot cheaper.

Wonderful Villa...

Just returned from a 6 day holiday with 22 Friends, Villa Fontana are amazing apartments with a lovely pool area , I stayed in the 2 bed 2 bath apartments with 2 other adults which has Air con in the main living area and fans in the bedrooms...The apartment was spacious, clean, has a dishwasher , washing machine etc and a balcony.. We all loved the quite location of the Villa, it was a 10 minute walk into town where you will find Restaurants, Bars, Shops, Supermarket , Bank and the lovely stunning harbour and beach. Janet the owner was a great host, very friendly ,together with her sister and son you couldn't meet nicer accommodating people, nothing was too much trouble for Janet, who organised , Restaurants ,shopping for our rooms, a barbecue for us all and Taxis back to the airport which is only 10 mins away and cost about £16. We wouldn't hesitate to book this accommodation again. Watched out Janet, Jeanne and Mark The Lancashire lasses will be back...
