Interesting experience here. Our tariff included breakfast each day. On checkout day asked at the reception if they would like us to check out before we had breakfast and were told it was up to us. We decided to settle our account as it was quiet then. Paid over $1500 for our stay then went to order our breakfast. Because we had just checked out we had to pay for our breakfast which was just two cups of coffee. Our room was clean but it cost $5 for a bottle of water and you needed a ladder to get into the shower We won’t be back and will not recommend this hotel to anyone else either

Upon arrival I was informed I was in an access room. When I queried this I was told it had handrails and the disabled bathroom .I asked if I could have another room but this was the only room available even though it was booked a while ago and not mentioned then I would have this room. The room was very dated ,super stuffy ,very basic and no water or anything in the fridge , dilmah teabags and a very old iPod Dock which was totally useless as had an outdated phone plug. The bathroom was large and also very outdated ,half the space had a metal curtain ring all the way around for wheelchair access and a dirty shower curtain that went three quarters of the way down. This was useless as the whole bathroom flooded when you used the shower which made it extremely dangerous to walk on no matter how many towels I tried to soak the water up with. There is no shelving at all in the bathroom ,the only space I could use to store my toiletry bag was limited and next to the kettle . The whole room had a very bad feeling to it and the old air conditioner was extremely noisy and didn’t work well . I felt as though a I couldn’t breathe at all in the room it was so stuffy and airless. The entire hotel is very stuffy and has offers nothing memorable at all The entire staff from reception, bar and restaurant were very uninterested verging on ignorant . I would never stay here ever and wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone . There are so many accommodation options in Perth

The location of this hotel is superb. Overlooking the river. Easy access to town centre & also to Elizabeth quay where there are a lot of restaurants. Staff & service were great . We had a lovely room but the hotel overall could do with a refurbishment as it looks tired

Disappointing

Very disappointed with the room we booked, the king premium balcony Langley Park view, this room is not what it is advertised as.These rooms are located on the first floor on top of the hotels restaurant. The restaurant opens for early breakfast till late at night with outdoor seating, this gets extremely noisy as well as the traffic and pedestrians. Double glazed windows and doors would help eliminate outside noise. The cleanliness was a hugh disappointment the bathroom floor hadn't been mopped for the four days we were there and the toilet rolls hadn't been replaced. Another issue is the parking, there are only 28 spots for guests, if you are lucky to find one its at a cost of $20.00 per day The room was outdated and needs to be refurbished. On check out we were charged for someone's else's bar tab and overcharged on parking which was previously paid. Recommend you stay in the cheaper rooms as they are in a better location.

Tired old hotel

I have to say this hotel fell far short of my expectation! It’s like chalk and cheese if you compare it with the lovely crown Plaza in Melbourne where I went onto stay. Check in isn’t great seems to take for ever! I would say they don’t really welcome diamond elite member properly, it was a half hearted welcome if we have a room we can upgrade you. Rooms facing the river are nice but it ends there. Rooms old and tired, climbing into a bath to have a shower which is too low. Housekeeping didn’t speak English on occasions. The swimming pool is an old lap pool totally unsuitable for everyone, somewhat dirty and neglected. The gym is a sad sight too. Breakfast was very poor and very busy at times, I ended up just having dried fruit and yogurt. Staff were nice and tried to assist as best as they could. Evening meal I had once and it wasn’t memorable. Somebody put my linen dresses in the tumble drier so they shrunk so had to throw them away. Told no cameras there so nothing they could do! I am long term travelling so can’t replace my dresses! Not happy. Bike hire is good and they organise that efficiently. Staff at reception nice but didn’t find it always the most efficient. Being honest I wouldn’t rush to stay here again, better newer hotels further along the strip. Sad as an IHG member one looks to stay at an IHG hotel. Personally think it would be better to close the hotel and knock it down and rebuild it.
