The Hotel is close to every thing you need,not far from downtown the breakfast was great the rooms are clean, the building is old, but kept well for sure i recommend for people who are coming to south edmonton area, there a shuttle from edmonton airport very happy with my stay thanks to all hotel staff

Accessible Rooms are Not Accessible

I booked an accessible room and stated that I was traveling with my mobility challenged 97 year old mother. When we checked in I was given room 111 and was told it was around the corner. To get to the room there were narrow doors I had to manually open and try to get my mom in her wheelchair through the door without it banging her. The room door was the same. To get from the bed to the bathroom were 3 tight turns, a difficult task in a wheelchair. Then the bathroom had only two bars behind the toilet. There was no way for my mom to use them to get on and off the toilet. I complained and asked for another room. After a bit of a run around, I was told that was the only choice there was. So if you need an accessible room, I suggest you go elsewhere, I know I will be.

Decent hotel but could use improvements

This was a decent hotel and had everything you need at a reasonable cost. A couple things to be aware of: our non-smoking room smelled like stale smoke; our bathtub didn't drain very well; and we had to talk to management to secure our hot breakfast which was supposed to be included in our booking, but upon check in we were told it wasn't.

Lovely friendly helpful staff. Excellent room and was given a quiet one away from lifts and staircases. Food at Lions Head pub was great and reasonably priced. Excellent value for money. If only more hotels were like this one!

Please don’t do as I did - I read some of these reviews yesterday, seen the bad ones and thought to myself “aw it can’t be that bad, I only need a place to sleep for the night on my way through town.” Boy was I wrong. Room was dirty, bed was (NO JOKE) rock hard so I barely got any sleep. I’m also a firm mattress lover but this was like sleeping on concrete. Checked out at 7:15, there’s a hooker at the front desk. Go out to my car and it’s covered in Stickers with a cigarette butt and a note under the windshield with crack head nonsense written on it. 3 other vehicles close to mine had their windows smashed out. Please please please save yourself the trouble and go elsewhere.
