...needs cleaning and restoration

We often take road trips and frequently stay at IHG (usually Holiday Inn Express) hotels. We felt this particular property is not up to standards. The first issue we encountered at this particular property was the lack of parking: We arrived late, and there were no parking -- ended up parking on the street. The room itself had a slight, but definitely present, odor. The towels were dirty, the sink was cracked, the furnitures were stained and in need of repair. The usual (Holiday Inn Express) hot breakfast, which we are familiar with, was not up to par. Having said all that, however, the one bright start with this hotel is that staff: the hotel staff are kind and courteous. Sadly, unless it's restored or renovated, I would not recommend this property.

This Holiday Inn needs a refresh immediately. I’ve stayed at this location a few times and never had any issues but this was not great. Room 102 was dirty and shabby. The walls were filthy, the lampshades had holes, the furniture was beat up. There was hair in my sink, shower, and toilet. I checked into the room late at night and didn’t alert the manager only because is already had a long day. I just took out my own Clorox wipes and cleaned it all off. The towels were dingy almost gray. It was just not what I’ve been used to with Holiday Inn Express I’m the past. Thankfully I was only staying the one night.

We booked a reservation tried to check in twice once early and once on time . Unfortunately if you have an accent or are a person of color you will be kicked out and told they do not wish to have people like you book at their hotel.

This hotel is fairly new so it's immaculately clean. Also very comfortable beds in a spacious room with a great view of Franklin mountains. Conveniently located just off I-20 on the west side of El Paso. Highly recommend. Would stay here again.

Didn't want to stay in El Paso, but I did...Rudy's is practically next door. The room was comfortable and clean, staff was friendly and helpful. I needed a break and this one is perfect. Pool is closed as well as gym, but this has been the normal during my travels.
