Would come again!

Check in was quick and easy, we parked in the Triangle Car Park (£11 per day) which was less than 2 mins walk from the hotel. Our room was lovely and clean and well stocked with everything we needed. Only one small issue, our kettle didn't work. However, we told reception and a new one was delivered in minutes. Breakfast was excellent a large choice of everything you could want! If you need more supplies reception arrange this really quickly. Staff were very helpful. We booked via Secret Escapes so got a great deal!

Very decent good value hotel

Very comfortable, well run, good value hotel. Super comfortable bed, large in room safe, decent towels, good hairdryer and tea/coffee tray. Got a warm welcome on arrival, enjoyed a couple of drinks in the bar which were reasonably priced, and the whole experience was very good. Parking is convenient (just across the road) and at £9, cheaper than most hotels in Exeter.

This hotel is situated close to shops in exeter town centre there is a multi storey carpark across the road. Staff were friendly and attentive. The hotel has a modern and open feel about it. The room was a good size with A/C. I ate in the restaurant and they cater well fir veggies and vegans. They also do a good breakfast. Altogether a very nice stay

Extremely noisy!

Avaliou em 11 de março de 2023

While the room was clean and staff friendly, we were extremely disappointed with the fact that we barely got any sleep for the night we stayed (Saturday 18th February). We returned to our room (320) at around 11 after a trip to the cinema and settled in for the night. Throughout the night, we could hear doors around us banging shut. In a hotel, we completely understand that there will be some level of noise. However, this banging of doors went on throughout the duration of the night, continually waking us up. At a couple of points in the night as well, we were awoken by people clearly drunk, shouting down the hallways. At one point, around 4:30am, the drunken shouting was accompanied by people banging on doors. At this point, we gave up trying to sleep. As a couple with two young children, nights away just the two of us are extremely rare. We were really looking forward to having a decent nights sleep, but this was thwarted by what felt like the sum total of Exeter’s nightlife continuing their party through our corridor. We understand it’s a city hotel on a Saturday night and have stayed in similar hotels before, but there has always been a night watch to ensure this risk is minimised. Clearly, their night watch was not doing their job. Upon checkout, we raised our concerns to the staff member at the desk, who did apologise and validate our car parking ticket for free. However, I’m not entirely satisfied with this result given we have had to cut our weekend short due to the fact we are absolutely exhausted. I did get in touch with the manager via email on the 19th of February and he very kindly offered a 25% refund and a refund of breakfast (which was good as we couldn’t really be bothered to enjoy breakfast fully as we were so tired). This was offered on the 19th February and I agreed to this that same date. The refund never materialised, so I emailed again on the 22nd to notify that the refund still hadn’t been received, to which the manager said he was awaiting my agreement before he refunded. I said I had already agreed to this, but it must have been missed and was no problem. On the 25th February, the manager emailed to confirm he had refunded… however, we still haven’t actually yet received this refund in our account and it is now the 11th March. We accept that sometimes things go wrong and would never publicly write a bad review without first approaching management. However, I am really disappointed that this issue is still ongoing three weeks after our stay. In essence, probably best to avoid if you want any semblance of sleep.
