Hotel e bem localizado, fica a alguns passos da avenida principal, e o quarto possui uma sacada com uma vista para o rio, que e linda e relaxante! Hotel e simples e muito antigo, precisa de uma reforma, a limpeza também ficou a desejar, e o cafe da manha e bem sem graça

I booked a room with 2 queen beds facing the river this past weekend and instead got 2 full beds. We made it work even though it was extremely crowded with 3 kids. When i was checking out Sunday morning I informed the staff of the issue and was dismissed and told that there were no full size beds on the property. this is bogus. My 2 granddaughters ( one 11 the other 12) barely had enough room in the bed for them so we ended up trying to squeeze our 6 year old in the bed with us which kept us all on our sides in order to have enough space

This is a good value for the price. It's in the midst of a remodeling, so it should continue to improve. There were a couple of unfinished projects in our unit. But, free parking, right on the edge of the main drag in Gatlinburg, nice staff, full cleaning each night are all plusses. Very close to the entrance of the Great Smoky Mountain National Park.

Walking distance to shopping, attractions and restaurants. No need to pay $20.00 parking in town. Rooms on river have either a patio or a balcony. Friendly staff, adequate breakfast and safe location.

I'm going to preface this review by noting that when I was there in May, 2022, the hotel was being extensively renovated, and my room was not one of the ones that had already been completed, so it was pretty shopworn. Despite that, housekeeping seemed to be doing the best they could, and I can see real potential in this property when the remodeling is complete. The absolute best thing about the Econo Lodge on the River is its location, which is two short blocks off of Parkway (US-441), Gatlinburg's main drag. After coming in from hiking each day, I parked my car at the hotel and walked everywhere else I went. While my room did not overlook the water, most do, and there is a deck with a few tables available for guests who don't have a creekside balcony. Breakfast was grab-and-go, with a number of options you can take back to your room to eat. If that's not what you're looking for, you're a five minute walk from a half-dozen breakfast joints. I was also very pleased by the courtesy and professionalism of all the hotel staff I encountered. Although I didn't use it, there is also a small pool that seemed well-maintained, which is a nice bonus if you'll be traveling with kids. Overall, I felt the Econo Lodge Inn & Suites on the River was a good value for what I paid, and I believe the only shortcomings I encountered will be corrected by the renovations when they are complete.
