Popped in for Sunday lunch today and it was lovely again. Service was very friendly and welcoming. Food was delicious and the restaurant room is lovely. The roast beef was great! Definitely recommend for a roast.

I stayed 2 nights at the JD Young in Harleston. The rooms are excellent, very spacious, clean and comfortable. The food in the restaurant was excellent, all courses were cooked to perfection. There is a large car park at the hotel, with easy access to the reception. A great hotel recommended by a colleague

Lovely birthday meal

Visited JD's for a birthday meal yesterday. Food was beautifully cooked and presented - clean plates all round! We visit here regularly and always find to staff to be welcoming and friendly. Always try to do their best. Dogs are well catered for too! Thank you everyone.

Excellent quality and service

Booked a table for 4 for dinner. We turned up early but that wasn't a problem. Taken to our seats and given menu's. The ambience was lovely. Service was fast efficient and very friendly. Staff one and all made you feel very welcome. Menu's were extensive and the food was plentiful and of top quality. Our whole meal was a fantastic experience and will definitely be returning soon.

Unbelievable. BAD from start to finish

A table for 12 people, for some crazy reason we had to preorder so that the Chef could cope. We preordered, on arrival we were directed to our seats, all had menus and had to go through ordering process again! Restaurant nearly empty, no need to preorder at all. Food was late, not right and awful. One of our team ordered lamb shish was given a kofta and told it was definitely the shish! She started to eat it only to be told it was in fact the wrong plate and her plate of correct food on its way whilst the plate she had in front of her would be taken back to the kitchen which it was only then to be resurrected to another one of our guests! Unbelievable. The starters and desserts lovely whilst the mains cold and over/under cooked. Had to search for service as waiting staff were far too busy talking to each other in a rowdy huddle to serve us (only our table and one or two others), crazily loud crappie music, no service seriously poor. The following day.... two members of our party had galloping diarrhoea, whilst two others felt very sick. We will NEVER go back all of us had a terrible meal, great company being the only plus, do not eat here until they sort woefully inept staff and as for the chef, chef needs to be exchanged for one that can cook.... that would be good!
