Filthy Gross Room/Don't waste your $$

Avaliou em 20 de dezembro de 2022

Went for a family weekend, left the next morning. Room was absolutely filthy. Hair on towels, old puke on floor beside the bed, mouse poop, stained couch, mold on walls in bathroom. Walls are so thin we could hear a kid puking and coughing in the room next door all night. I've never stayed in such a dirty gross place like this. We will never stay here again. Don't waste your $$

Call ahead

Our reservation was scheduled in September. Unfortunately, we did not know that the Theme park was being remodeled and so only enjoyed the water slides, not the outdoor activities. The room was a nice size and the breakfast was great! The room service is available upon request only.

What your money will get you

I do not see how a 2 Star hotel (Triple Play) received a 4.1 rating? It has to be for the amusement park facility. I recently stayed there for the weekend 8/19/22 – 8/21/22 and here’s where my $792.00 for two nights went. Room 120: Human hair in both beds. Hair in towels Filthy telephone Dusty alarm clock Dusty lamp Worn, Sunken, & Lumpy mattresses Dirty carpet Slow drain for the tub Flat pillows Small Television Guest Service Representative Cathy constantly coughing in my room near my children. Children constantly running down the halls in the late hours of the night Children stomping on the floor which was our ceiling. Front Desk: Rude Guest Service Representative (Cathy) on check – in date 08/19/22

We ended up leaving a day early

This would be our 2nd time to the hotel as our last experience wasn't that bad. I called the morning of our check in to request any room on the 2nd floor. When we arrived to the hotel, front desk said they moved us to the 3rd floor as our room wasn't ready. We arrived a little after 4pm. We ended up staying in room 315. As soon as we walked in, we were hit with a very wet dog smell mixed with old wet towels. I opened the window to the max of 2 inches and cranked up the air to see if it would circulate the air out. We quickly changed to head out for dinner. After dinner, we headed over to the amusement park. My kids enjoyed it so much and we stayed till closing. We returned to the room with the same sickening smell. It was almost nauseating and gave me and my daughter a headache the next morning. I went to the front desk and caught housekeeping folding towels. I told her about it and she offered to switch rooms. She did come up to the room and noticed the smell as well. We ended up staying in the room bc we were going to be at Silverwood all day the next day. The carpet had stains. The bed sheets had stains. The carpet had crumbs on it and garbage behind the night stand. Only reason we pulled it out was because the clock was unplugged and we had to plug it back in. We do bring our own bedding to sleep on. The beds are creaky and uncomfortable. You could feel the springs. Last year they had a guy cooking and serving. This year it was serve yourself. I didn't eat it so I couldn't give a review but my kids ate a couple bites and were fine with it. We're not much breakfast people. After a day spent in Silverwood, we came back to relax, hoping the smell would at least dissipated. Nope. I went to the front desk and told them we were going to check out. I don't think I will plan on staying here next year unless they do a remodel.

Go for a day, dont stay

The play and stay package is a hidden rip-off. While there I heard several people complaining at the front desk about their rooms. Ask a question at the front desk and you'll get a different answer. Look, I know there are a ton of families and unruly kids running the halls and trashing the rooms for these guys to deal with daily but without any play and stay package, the rooms are almost 300 and it is SO not worth that. The rooms are dirty and run down. Don't think about the carpet you are walking on, it'll creep you out. Make a couple of trips to the bathroom barefooted. The soles of your feet will be black. Having the free breakfast daily is ok, standard dehydrated scrambled eggs, meat, and cold biscuits and gravy. Every day. The staff running the dining setup area are pretty darn efficient and friendly however. All in all, its just not worth the money. Pay for a day pass or something and sleep elsewhere.
