Shittest hotel in the world - never stay here again!
This hotel is absolutely terrible and the service is atrocious. The hotel is full of thugs and refugees and does not follow any Covid guidelines. This hotel needs to be shut down. The rooms are dirty. They were dirty marks on the wall and bloodstains. The room had no kettle or cups and we ordered these items from the reception and they sent refugees to deliver these items to us and these people were not staff members. The hotel was full of intimidating people in the corridor who were talking loudly and were walking around the hotel with no shoes on. One man was walking around in his underwear . We could smell cannabis in the corridor as well as cigarettes. The lifts were overcrowded with scary people and we felt very anxious and scared. At one point a person demanded to enter the lift even though it was full of people but he obstructed the doors of the lift and insisted on entering. There were a large queue of refugees waiting to get food and we were so confused with the situation that we asked the hotel – what was going on? The staff at the hotel then said that they had a contract with the council to house homeless people. We were so intimidated and scared. we asked the hotel manager for a refund. This manager is described as Asian man wearing a turban. He could hardly speak English. We voiced our above complaints to him but he was completely insensitive, rude and refused to help us and refused to give our money back and said he didn’t care. He then threatened to call the police on us. I was personally so distressed that I had to leave the hotel with people. there were so many people gathered in the hallway with no masks on and we had simply decided that we could no longer stay there stop. A security guard at the hotel - agreed with our complaints and seemed sympathetic but couldn’t help us as he was not part of hotel management so seemed out of his depth.
TERRIBLE & NOT COVID SAFE
I had booked this hotel thinking that it would be safe to visit during the current pandemic. Although signs outside had told guests to wear masks, none of the guests were adhering to this indoors, making us feel very unsafe. We did not want to be in lifts with guests without face coverings. The corridors smelt of strong cigarette smoke, there were used bedsheets outside some rooms and the room itself was unclean. Due to the guests not wearing masks we did not feel safe in the hotel and left. We had raised our safety concerns afterwards with the general manager who was both unapologetic and frankly not bothered that the hotel was not adhering to current government guidelines. We had asked to be refunded for our stay, this was refused, again no sign of any apology from the staff. Safety aside, the hotel seemed cold, uninviting and definitely not worth the rates they charge for a room. Will not be staying here again and have informed others of this awful experience!
DONT NOT STAY HERE REFUGEES EVERYWHERE
I've stayed in this hotel many times. I'm simply shocked at how many Refugees this hotel is housing. Yes Refugees, the ones who crossed the Border illegally from France to Dover. As I got the lift to my room, they were scattered everywhere. 1 asked me for a pound, another a cigarette. And blimey do they stink. They collect their free food from the restaurant at reception. When I asked for food, they told me the restaurant was closed. When I spoke to the receptionist about not feeling safe in this hotel, she just threw a managers card at me and said email him with your concerns. Because I wanted my refund. People you need to realise what's going on here. It's not even safe to leave the room without being harassed by these refugees. It is discusting Never will I come back here. Don't waste your money here. These refugees are given rooms each, food and money. And that is all coming out of the taxpayer. Total shambles. BE WARNED PEOPLE
Disgraceful.
I am booked into this hotel with my friend. The staff wearing a turban as part of "home office" followed him around as he was black. Very racist staff. Staff go into your rooms without you being there or consulting you first. Horrible people, poor customer service. Definitely do not book this hotel. The lights in the room are broken, the water does not drain properly when showering, the staff watch you closely and do not make you feel comfortable at all.
