Among the worst I've seen
Avaliou em 20 de junho de 2022
I stayed at the Hampton Inn Indianapolis-Ne/Castleton from June 16-17 while traveling for work, and this is among the worst hotels I have ever had the misfortune to encounter. Everything about the room was terrible--from the ratty, dirty carpet to the unclean bathtub/shower. The upholstered furniture in my suite was worn, dated, and stained, the sheets on my bed were threadbare, and most of the furniture was scuffed and aged. The chairs in the dining area also are worn and in need of replacement. The only bright spot in the visit was our interaction with Dominique, who greeted us at the front desk upon arrival and helped us check in--she was warm, pleasant, and friendly. In all, this hotel is badly in need of a refresh/remodel and does not live up to the Hampton Inn/Hilton name and brand, let alone the $215 my company paid for the stay. I have stayed in two-star hotels that were nicer than this one. And I was embarrassed by the fact that my colleague with whom I was traveling was stuck staying in a horrible, dirty hotel that I had chosen. I would give zero stars if I could. Avoid like the plague.

Below expectations for a Hilton property

There are lots of drawbacks to staying at this hotel. While the room was clean -- except for a faint yellow stain on the bedspread and a brown splash on the bathroom night light -- our free breakfast featured watery eggs, cold potatoes and sausage gravy so runny I tossed everything in the trash, including the biscuit. While our traveling guests had a notice in their room that rooms would be cleaned every three days, ours had no such notice. When we requested more coffee packets at the front desk, they were out. And on Friday nights, 82nd Street, which our room faced, became a drag strip well into early Saturday morning. I do not plan to stay here again.

Overwhelming smoke smell, ashes on table, terrible service
Avaliou em 23 de maio de 2022
We came from NW indiana to stay 1 night for our toddler's medical appointment the following morning in a "suite style room. " As soon as we opened our door, it smelled like a bar. Not even like a faint-smoke, like a chainsmoker lived in there. Ashes & dust on the phone and table. Simply could not have stayed in the room with my child who has asthma. We called down to front desk to see if another room was available, but they had nothing with a fridge that was necessary for our medication. Front desk agreed upon full refund and to manager contacted us a couple days later to"make things right with us". But its been a month, several emails and phone calls later and STILL have not received by refund nor heard another response to credit us for our horrible experience. Same price for us for a room down the street at Drury Inn and difference was like day and night! Save your time, money, and inconvenience and go to another hotel.

Lots of ants, bed bugs, random people sleeping between vending machines!

Terrible experience with this hotel we all used for a baseball tournament at grand park. Eat dinner with my children then we go swimming in a pool that was freezing cold. Come back to hundreds of ants all over left over chicken! Disgusting!!! Call room service 3-4 times no answer..walk down explain situation guy says nothing they can do but will send someone up. 35-40 min later gentle comes in and says it’s that time of year with ants….walks closer and say oh s#%t! Apologize and was very nice and did everything he could to help. Gives us another room after guy at desk says nothing available but admits room smelled like weed. We took anyones since ants were so bad… go to bed wake up to find bed bugs! Checked out explaining situation and showing pictures. The new manager proceeded to say oh ok I can have corporate call you. I was reimbursed but what a nightmare and my 8 year old daughter is scared of hotels.

Blood on the bathroom floor

Blood on the bathroom floor. We checked in, got ready for bed and discovered dried blood spots next to the toilet. We are checking out. I have never been in such a filthy hotel. It does not appear the staff is concerned, so this must be a commonplace occurrence. The hotel is outdated as many reviewers have noted, but that is no excuse for gross negligence of hygiene.
