Time for a remodel
Avaliou em 15 de junho de 2022
Nice folks but this place is 10 beyond it’s need for a remodel. The mattresses have the springs coming through, the musty/moldy smell in the rooms, broken lampshade, tiny TV. It just needs so much. No breakfast, no coffee in room or in lobby, so many things! But hey, the maid was excellent!

I have never been so uncomfortable.

I honestly can say I've never felt so uncomfortable at a hotel and I used to work night shift at one (and so dealt with all the weirdos). The check in process was long, not because of anything that needed to be complicated, but because the man at the desk was asking a ton of personal questions, like about my health and the health of my family (who was not with me). He also was grilling me and my travel partner on the nature of our relationship - we are two women who are most definitely not dating, but we were very glad this was not one of the hotels where we chose a room with one bed over two to save money because I got the very strong impression that that would have been a problem. After assuring him we were platonic friends, and after he said multiple times "oh I made a mistake" while doing the check in (probably because it's hard to interrogate and use Opera at the same time) instead of giving us our keys he tried to hold our hands and asked if we'd pray with him. Both of us were raised Christian so while we were clearly uncomfortable it was not due to an issue with the concept of prayer. He apparently took our discomfort for not understanding and started shouting PRAY! P-R-A-Y at us, until finally when we said no thank you, he relented and gave us our keys. After this, as we made trips from the car, we saw him peering at us from around corners/down the hall, etc, and we not only bolted and chained our door the entire time we were in the room (not just to sleep as we usually do) but I slept horribly the entire two night stay because of anxiety (and feeling judged for traveling with another woman, had he seriously not seen friends travel before? Our room had TWO BEDS) and if we'd had the option of going somewhere else, we would have. The room only had two towels in it - odd for a room with two beds that could in theory hold four people, and the toilet tank was loose, and paint was peeling from the walls. Not the end of the world, but I'm noting it as I know some travelers don't want to stay in places overdue for an upgrade. We did not try the continental breakfast due to being told by other guests that they watch you like a hawk and restrict what you can take (to be clear, I did not personally witness this) and at one point on the second day some people who had just arrived called me over in the parking lot to ask if I thought the desk people were weird. I said yes. They said "okay, we were uncomfortable." I will not stay here again. As a former hotel employee of two different corporations, this is not how you represent the chain you work for. And to anyone who is traveling with a same sex romantic partner, you definitely don't want to stay here as they appeared extremely uncomfortable with us and we aren't even dating. I don't know if that's why we felt spied on or if they do that to everyone, but it was SO creepy and unnerving.

Poor experience

Booked online. Arrived late in afternoon after long drive. Had to use front desk phone to get service at front desk. Lobby was small and had a stale odor. Owner came out to front desk with pet dog. They asked to see drivers license along with credit card and took a copy of each. The next morning when checking out I asked for copy back as I was not comfortable with them keeping copy of my personal ID. Was told they had to keep a copy of both. Don't know why they couldn't just swipe card like other business do. Just have to hope nothing goes wrong in future with ID.

The owners were extremely kind and made us feel so welcome. We would definitely stay here again. Our room was clean and affordable. We stopped in last minute during our roadtrip and the owners made the checking in and out very easy.

My sister and I came here for a weekend sister get away. It was a last minute trip so we booked cheap. The hotel was mediocre; Clean but very outdated, bed was extremely uncomfortable. The hotel was very religious based which was fine, they weren’t pushy about it although upon check out I was uncomfortable with the man at the fronts comment. Him and the women up front were asking about our trip and what were here for, asked then if we had any children at home to which I responded yes I had a daughter. The man then said in a very weird way “we love little girls here”. I left feeling uneasy
