Possibly the most beautiful Soho House of them all

Great city hotel. Rooms are superbly designed. Great gym and spa area. And the historic palace with its bars and terrace absolutely beautiful - they really got this one right in terms of matching the typical Soho style with the historic beauty of the palace. Definitely one of the best Soho Houses around the world. Istanbul is a great city but it can be exhausting at times - this is a great refuge into a world of great design and style while visiting this special city.
Lovely room but service awful in bar

We were delighted that our ‘Tiny’ room was far from tiny and also included a cute little terrace. However, we had a number of breakfasts and drinks in the bar and every time we wanted to order anything it took 10-15 mins to catch someone’s eye. I don’t know if they were understaffed or too cool to care but it was SO frustrating. They should let you order from your phone if they are so busy! Otherwise lovely location, Cecconi’s was fab and the old building is incredible. I would recommend if they can improve the bar experience!
House of Hypocrisy

Terrible service in every department. Guests are treated like they owe something to the staff. The rooms => old and hopelessly dirty (we had 3 different rooms throughout our stay) The staff => hypocrisy in every department (on almost every encounter I have experienced ill-concealed indifference The bars => mixology is not something people at SH Istanbul are familiar with (but they were really good with serving Turkish tea) The management => I have talked to the guy who runs this House about issues that I have experienced during my stay at the departure. He has promised to call me with his view on that. In the end he never returned. However, in a couple of days I received a call from a girl from Berlin who runs the membership in Europe saying that they wanted to decide if they should cancel my membership at Soho House. I said they should do so. They did, but collected the payment for the whole next month from my credit card before doing it.

We were really looking forward to our stay at The SoHo House Istanbul and are very familiar with the brand. Unfortunately, the hotel failed on a number of fronts. Firstly, when we opened the faucet , murky brassy water was coming out of the faucet. We notified the Hotel and they said that the following day they will shut off the water from 11 am to 6pm for plumbing maintenance work and they are aware of the brassy water. In the meantime, it left us unsure wether the water was safe to shower , brush teeth or wash face with. We had booked a medium size category room but the room felt ill designed with 2 armchairs at the foot of the bed blocking off the room and the furnishing cluttering the space. The mattress was very hard like sleeping on a wood plank. The air conditioning very noisy and it took a long while for it to cook the room. The breakfast served was the least lavish breakfast we had in all of Turkey and the service sparse. We decided to shorten our stay at Soho House and found a lovely Hotel across the street with no issues and far better accommodation and pricing. Soho House is very well located and that is a definite plus, the bathroom has nice toiletries but there are far better choices in town. The hotel did comp the breakfast we had and allow us to check out given their plumbing issues. Overall, it tarnished our view of the experience and during our 2 weeks in Turkey it was the only Hotel that underscored.
