We brought our family here for our grandson's first beach trip. The location of this hotel is fantastic. We want to specifically point out one of the front desk staff that made our stay even better... Thank you Jonesy for all of your help. Your help, courtesy and suggestions made our trip go so smoothly that we decided to stay an extra day!!! Without your help we wouldn't have booked the extra night!!
It’s been 6 years and now I see why!

One night stay. I am a platinum member. I emailed and asked for an upgrade and it was done on the app but told not available at check in. The hotel didn’t seem full at all. Very slow as matter of fact. Broken locks, loose toilet seat , rust stained tub, broken stopper, and no offer of bottled water we had to buy it. Emailed the welcome points after check in. The tiki bar was decent but out of everything! Pool was full of loud rude people that didn’t care about anyone else. My wife went to the third floor and asked about breakfast and was told it wasn’t offered but able to find a muffin and a pop tart. Beach is nice but $390 a night ! Ouch! I did email the hotel about the issues after checking out but no response. Going downhill fast! VRBO is the way to go.
5 Star Memory

AMAZING STAY! My husband and I and our 90-year-old mom were so fortunate to enjoy an extended stay at this amazing resort, and we were so well cared for by the entire staff. We honestly felt like it was our home, and they were our family. We really would not want to stay anywhere else on the island other than the Holiday Inn Resort. Everything about it was perfect. If I could give it more than 5 stars, I would! It was also a priceless gift for our 90-year-old mom. After 2 years of being shut-in due to the pandemic, She was very apprehensive about taking the long trip. But 15 minutes after she arrived in her room she reported she had arrived in paradise! She got outside each day and walked along the resort paths, and enjoyed sitting on the Adirondack chairs and watching the people and bikers go by. It was like she was 10 years younger when she left. As for the staff, we can't thank them all enough and let them know that their very hard work makes a big difference in the lives of others! I was in the hotel business for many years, and I understand firsthand that is’ grueling hard work, and sometimes (many times) guests remember to complain, but do not remember to say THANK YOU!!!! So please know that you are indeed very appreciated!!!!!

This place is terrific in every way. Location and staff are the best. Oceanfront rooms that are plenty large enough. Restaurant within walking distance. Beach is beautiful. Island has multiple amenities. Very highly recommended.
Stayed over the Memorial Day weekend

We stayed 3 nights in a room, as a family of 4 with a small dog. The reasons we chose this property is because they are pet friendly, and the beach is so close. We did pay close to 500/night because it was a holiday weekend. Also, the pictures of the pool on the website looked wonderful. We got a room on the 2nd floor, and it was pretty clean and roomy enough for our queen sized air mattress for one of the kids, to go along with the 2 queen beds. I would rate the mattresses a 6/10. Not the most comfortable, but not the worst, either. The grounds of the hotel are lovely, with the Adirondack chairs and the fire pit. We had brought a s’mores kit with us, but the fire pit close to us was inoperable due to no fuel or something. The swimming pool is much smaller than it appears in the pictures, and it was very crowded due to the hotel being at full capacity. I did question the cleanliness of it because the water was so murky. We did not use the pool for this reason. It was nice having the beach right there and I felt comfortable to let my teen daughter go down there by herself. It was not too crowded and mostly families there, so felt safe. We ate at the restaurant a few times, but only breakfast for 2 of us was included in our stay. It’s a small buffet and not really worth 20.00 dollars a person for breakfast. The front desk people were friendly and helpful when we realized one of the kids forgot their toothbrush and they provided one for her. It was a pretty good location to stay, and proximity to St Simons and Brunswick was good. We would stay there again, but not for the price we paid and only if the pool was clean.
