Very Rude uncaring front desk

Had a reservation here, confirmed, for two adults and a note to the property manager that we have a pet. When we arrived we were simply and unceremoniously told by the young lady at the front desk that they had no more pet friendly rooms. "But we have a confirmed reservation with a pet"...Answer: We have no more pet friendly rooms. What good did it do us to reserve a room? Answer: How is that my problem? Overall just very rude, uncaring and totally unprofessional. Shoddy business practices and a bad experience. Of course I'll never attempt to stay here again and neither should you. We went to the Kansas Country Inn and got a better room with a free breakfast. Stay at the Kansas Country Inn instead.

Superb Cleanliness

Our room could not have been more immaculately clean. The motel is in a quiet part of town; there was no traffic noise. We were very comfortable. I have very minor complaints. The fan on the air conditioner is loud. The floor of the tub is slippery. In spite of those slight issues, I would stay here again.

What a pleasant surprise!

This little motel is a retro gem. I reserved a one night stay on a whim and was greatly surprised at the combination of 1940's fixtures with clean, modern amenities. The staff is courteous and patient with brain-fogged travelers who drove too many hours. The town of Oakley is itself a great slice of central plains Americana. I will definitely go out of my traveling way to stay here again. Thanks for a much needed restful night.

Nice room!

I was pleasantly surprised at how perfect the room was for me! A comfortable bed, large tv, a microwave oven, a desk with its own chair, and another comfortable chair for sitting. I appreciated the room location at a very quiet street. In fact, this small town was very quiet. Such a nice change from noisy city locations. I would stay here again.
