Over the last 10 years I grew to love going to this property/hotel after it was newly built, but over the years it has quickly, steadily, and badly gone down hill. The price to value ratio is not worth it. The cleanliness of the property reflects the laziness of the management and staff. It is an embarrassment to say the least. I will no longer be paying to go to this terrible hotel.
Since I have known this hotel, they have never maintained the BBQ/Grill area. It has always been nasty. I am surprised noone has gotten sick.
Also, the pool is always very dark, dirty, and hazy, reflecting that the pool is not maintained as it should be.
All this is not just one visit. This has been my experience over the last ten years.
Do not go here.
VERY DISAPPOINTING AND EMBARRASSING!
Needs Attention and Care

First, I will say that the only reason I gave this a "2" rating instead of a "1" is that we did not experience a problem that needed manager or front desk attention.
There were a couple plusses- breakfast had a good variety of options and the kitchenette was stocked with clean silverware and dishes. The kitchenette was the best thing about our room.
However, when we arrived, it was clear that the hotel was full and the staff was having trouble. When we were unpacking, the manager was getting screamed at in the middle of the lobby because a woman was mad about a host of problems, and that was off-putting. The pool was also broken when we arrived. We ended up staying close to our room for the stay because the hotel felt really crowded. On our trip we stayed at another busy property, but that hotel was impeccably kept and never felt crowded. We could only tell how full they were by the parking lot. Staybridge felt crowded all the time.
Here are the problems/negatives/observations we encountered:
-Our room did not have a room number on it. At least 5 other rooms on the 3rd floor were the same. We had to guess what our room was, and we were not warned about this by the front desk. It felt ludicrous. Our room ended up being close to the elevator, so we got a huge full garbage bag sitting in the hallway by our room the entire stay.
-There were 4 hand sanitizer dispensers in our path. 3 of them never had sanitizer in them the entire two-night stay. The only one stocked with sanitizer was the one by the front desk.
-The room was small. Everything felt small. Our son wanted to sleep on the pullout couch. We had to move the TV stand/dresser to get the bed to open. Given that this is a hotel designed for longer stays, I couldn't imagine having more than 4 people in the room to hang out.
-The only door in our suite that worked was the one to the bathroom. You had to force the room door to close. The bedroom and closet doors didn't line up properly. The bathroom is also dimly lit, so if that is an issue for you, be aware.
-There was a weird stain on the bedroom curtain. I also stepped on a bobby pin that was embedded in the carpet.
-The hallway carpet was stained on the 3rd floor. The doors and hallway on the 3rd floor weren't great. The stairwell smelled stale and smoky. It really seems like they focus on upkeeping the lobby first. Although the trash cans in the outside courtyard were always full and the ones in the kitchen area were often overflowing. One of the doors to the courtyard was shattered, and there was a sign that said "Please don't" on it.
-The pool was "fixed" later the night of our arrival, but we didn't let our kids swim during our stay. The water was weirdly cloudy, and the pool area was busy when we were there. The door between the pool and courtyard was always propped open with a rock, and people were constantly going in and out. There were towels everywhere in the area.
-We had been excited about a little evening reception the first night (Drury Inns do something like this nightly- this place does it Monday-Wednesdays.). There were burgers and hot dogs. The wine and beer was a little funny/bizarre. The wine was 3 unattended Barefoot wine bottles. The beer was two taps, and my hubby got a small amount out of one.
-Other reviews commented on unlimited soda and coffee. We didn't find this true. The soda machine was shut off the second day we were there. The coffee was empty except at breakfast during our stay.
-I could tell the front desk person seemed really anxious that we didn't have problems. I didn't want to add to anything as we were leaving, so I really didn't address anything with her. We had overheard other people asking about the sanitizer. trash cans, and pool, so they were already aware of things I would have mentioned.
I'm sure at one time this Staybridge was great, but it looks overdue for attention and care. I hope that they can recover a bit. I'm sure the last year has been tough, but it was not a great experience for us. We just kept finding things that made our experience less than it could have been. Other people seem to enjoy it, but we couldn't get over the fact that there seemed to be inattention to things that felt basic-- trash, room numbers, etc.
Would not recommend unless these things are addressed.
Amazing Stay - perfect for multi families

Excellent accommodation and comfortable stay excepting the issue with one of the suite bathrooms.
We were a total of 4 families visiting and stayed for 3 nights. Despite 2 families securing 2 studios, the hotel staff was supremely kind to find us 2 bedroom suites through the course of our stay.
The rooms are well appointed and reasonably sized. We particularly liked the living room and the kitchenette area where we cooked several meals.
Breakfast was adequate and reasonable given we are vegetarians. It was awesome that they kept the pantry area well stocked to fetch bottled water or coffee including all day free soda.
The location is beautiful and the setting is just perfect for the hotel.
The only downer for us was the bathroom bowl that was clogged 2 nights in a row. The hotel did attempt to fix but the issues remained till checkout.
Overall a positive and fine experience for a party of our size. We shall absolutely return should we go back to beautiful Hot Springs!!

Recently stayed at this location this last weekend, making the reservation through Booking.com. The two folks behind the front desk had no idea how to find our rooms, saying they could only find one room at first. They eventually found the second room and told me that our reservation was prepaid by Booking.com. They called us later to tell us that the rooms were NOT paid for after all and that we'd have to pay them directly. This would have been fine except that KATRINA behind the desk told us that her manager HALEY had advised her to lock our keys to the rooms until the matter was resolved. We had given absolutely NO Indication that we wouldn't be paying for the rooms and were trying to help resolve the issue with Booking.com. However Katrina went on to to tell me that an employee would go up with us to retrieve our belongings if we weren't staying. Now I have no idea if the manager actually told Katrina this, or if she was just being difficult, but she turned a simple billing issue into a much bigger deal that ruined our stay here. At checkout we met Katie who had no knowledge of the incident at checkin, but was polite, courteous, and gave us great customer service. IMO, she should be managing this location. Also, one room had a dirty bathroom and the phone was broken, the other room had stained sheets.
The best staff
