Hidden Fees & Charges To Fund the Jihad!
Despite booking online, I was forced to pay an additional $50 at check-in for “incidentals”. I will allegedly be refunded this amount in 3 to 5 business days if all seems well with the state of my room. The woman at the front desk wore a hijab (head scarf) and English was indeed very much her 2nd language. This sounds racist and xenophobic, but her disdain for my wife and I was clear. Interrupted, She put down her cell phone to check us in. The elevator is in what appears to be an old closet: you and your luggage will fit if only you have no kids. This is not meant to be a joke. The bed has a mattress protector that appears to be stained from a stabbing. (See photo) The hallway carpet looks like it’s leftover from a crime scene. (See photo) The A/C unit runs like it’s on life support. There are 2 computer workstations in the lobby. Don’t bother: One is not connected to the internet; the other runs so slow you’ll never load any page. (Many websites are blocked - gmail, for instance - by some crafty administrator who set these stations up 10 years ago.) If we weren’t in dire need of a room for the night, I would have walked out and booked elsewhere, regardless of the strict cancellation policy.
DO NOT STAY HERE
We booked and paid on line when we were on our way and got to the hotel about 10ish. When we went in to check in we were told that we owed more money and argued with us until I showed her the website deal and the charge on my credit card. When up to the room, very dusty for claiming they are sanitizing everything, tiles broken in bathroom with sharp edges. I verified with the front desk if they still had a breakfast and she said yes, starting at 6. We needed to get back on the road so we were up and ready at 6 and went down with nothing out yet for breakfast. I went to ask the desk and he yelled (with no mask on when there are signs all over saying it is required for all employees and guests to wear) at me saying coffee was ready....well the coffee stand looked like it hadn't been cleaned off in a couple days (split coffee and empty creamers on the table) so we sat and waited and by 7 we really needed to go and only had cold cereal available for us.

We decided on this hotel based on reviews from other people. We were on our way back home to Wisconsin from Myrtle Beach. I didn’t realize this hotel was way off of hwy 65 and we had to drive 15 min out of the way. Pros- nice neighborhood On an updated floor(4th floor) -the other review was correct, the remodeling was not a problem during our stay -Beds, pillows and sheets were really nice and comfortable -pool was okay, but my son was freezing and had to get out, I got used to the temp -internet really good, even on the 4th floor -quiet hotel Cons- -windows were not cleaned in our room, kids hand prints all over the windows, GROSS -curtain was falling off, not on all the way -crappy re-modeling job so far. there was part of the stick still on the tub! -office chair in our room was peeling off -NO CLOCK in our room! Like seriously, this is a Comfort Suites, not a Motel 6! -They charge your credit card an extra $50, but apparently will take it off the next day when checking out. But they do notify you of this at check in. -I wasn’t told of the extra points I should be getting(I’ve stayed at 2 other Choice Hotels on my 10 day trip so far) -I wasn’t told the hours of the breakfast or the pool or about the internet access, I had to ask. Again, something I didn’t have to do before -The guy who checked us in was not very friendly -The elevator is in a weird place -No breakfast served(other than donuts and coffee), had to get breakfast
I really liked this hotel; I give it 5 Stars
I really liked this place; my first time to stay here. It was fairly new and was nice and clean. The front desk was friendly and helpful, and my room was nice. Good bed. And, their Wi-Fi was nice and quick. Plus, their breakfast had some nice options.
Stay was ok
The room was fine. Kids enjoyed pool. The pool had extended hours which we loved. Free parking! Under the sofa bed was not completely clean. Breakfast was good. Fruit, eggs and sausage, cereals, and waffles.
