Poor Elite Treatment and Non-Responsive Management

This property called and left me a message the morning of my arrival to tell me they didn’t intend to honor my room type because they had decided to take a “large government contract”. When I returned the call, I was lied to when they said they hadn’t changed my reservation (the app clearly showed I had been changed) and they didn’t even offer to reduce my rate as they’d moved me to a less expensive type of room. Subsequent complaints to the General Manager were not responded to and only getting Marriott corporate involved got me any resolution. I won’t return and you should probably consider booking elsewhere also.
Worthy Option for Airport and Interstate Travelers

This Fairfield Hotel continues to be a good option for the Lincoln Airport and I80. We’ve stayed here four times in the last six months and things continue to be true to type.
Pros: reasonable price, solid WiFi, nice breakfast, clean and roomy King Suite. The staff seem friendly and focused.
Cons: surprisingly the bath towels seem a bit worn, although the bed linens were fresh and acceptable. The front desk was not able to activate my Bluetooth “Key Free” check in, but that might have been a computer issue, not staff training.
Recommended for the busy traveler.
Good Location, Good Value

The Fairview family of hotels seem to have a good consistent value throughout Nebraska. This location was no exception, the front desk staff (Beth) was extremely friendly and helpful, the morning breakfast was adequate and well prepared, and the rooms are very clean.
The beds and linens seemed to be in excellent shape. One of the bath towels was perhaps past its prime, but that is no reason to mark down the hotel overall.
Due to the low occupancy at the time it was very quiet. As a member of the Bon Voy program I appreciate the flexibility of using the app to reserve, communicate, and follow my reservation.
Unfortunately none of the three Fairfield Suite hotels I’ve used in Nebraska have mastered the “keyless” Bluetooth entry process, but I’m sure they will figure it out eventually.

The beds in this hotel where extremely comfortable, great breakfast, the hotel was also very clean. My only complaint is that the alarm clock in the room was extremely bright and it could not be dimmed down.
Almost Perfect, But....

Great sleep quality, quiet rooms, a stone’s throw to the airport, and ample breakfast choices. The only reason I couldn’t give the hotel 5-stars was because I called down to request a wake-up call the next morning, but never received it.
When I went downstairs for breakfast and let the front desk know, she was completely apathetic and unapologetic. She told me, “I just got here and nobody told me you were supposed to get a wakeup call.” That’s was the extent of it.
Thank goodness I wasn’t late to work or to catch a flight. But if you’re going to advertise an amenity, you have to stand behind it and commit to it. Not take a laissez-faire hospitality attitude and blame it on the evening shift. That attitude leaves guests pretty perturbed. A hand-written note on my desk when I returned later that evening explaining what happened and apologizing would’ve gone a long way and cost the hotel virtually nothing.
