Less than expected from a Marriott property

This is my experience: I am a bongos Marriott rewards member. I really like Marriott properties and their service. Lately, the service aspect has been less than desirable. We checked in on a Friday night (4 pe) discovered the bathtub did not drain when we showered and only had to bath towels. Saturday morning at 9:30 am, asked the frint desk for 4 bath towels and someone to fix the drain. We left for the day. Sent several chats in the app, no response as to either request as fulfilled. Returned at 10:30 pm to find nothing had been done. No towels and no drain was fixed. Called the front desk, with the response that they were full and had a shortage of towels but they would take mine , wash them snd bring them back. She had no knowledge as to why the drain was not fixed. The towel issue was expedited and we did receive our towels quickly. 4 showers, tub not draining. It’s like standing in a swamp of dirty water. Check in face to face the next morning after writing a long note at 5 am in the bonvoy app regarding my disappointment with the service regarding the drain issue, no one asked about how my stay was. I mentioned that they may want to have someone look at the drain in the room before the next person checks in. Their response was”what room was that”. I left very disappointed in their service and lack of concern for repeat customers. I hope this was a one time thing. However, I have stayed at other Fairfield Inns and I would say the friont end service is about the same, you really have to go to one of the Marriott’s nicer hotels to get better customer service and then that is still questionable.

Misleading

We booked a double Queen room for our family of 4. When we got to the hotel they told us that they overbooked and they don’t have a double Queen room avaible. They told us that they can switch us to a room with a bed plus a sofa or to Courtyard, but with no breakfast.I was ok to Courtyard, but they sould give us breakfast. After that they just got very rude to us. They give us a key and no information like the hours for pool, or for breakfast where is the elevator to get to the room etc. The key worked for the breakfast room for the first night and then it didn’t. Everyday we had to ask somebody to let us in because apparently they switch us to Courtyard with no breakfast. This was a terrible vacantion and we never had an experience like this to other hotel. I am also a gold member with them so I was expecting more from them.

Bed bugs in room 211!!!! Started seeing itchy red bumps on my leg after night one. Also the walls are thin and can hear next door. The location is also inconvenient if you want to Make left turn onto main road..... Never again.

I want to say thank you for Flo and Leslie for taking such great care of our group for our meeting for 2 days. They went above and beyond to meet all of our needs with their amazing customer service skills. They helped me through the whole process to make sure everything was taken care of and went great.

Fairfield-Courtyard concept

Located just off the main Thornton Road in Lithia Springs, this is a Fairfield-Courtyard concept hotel (the sharing of one master building structure between Fairfield and another Marriott family brand - I've noticed Residence Inn and at this location Courtyard by Marriott). So with the elevator in the middle, you go right for the Courtyard rooms and you go left for the Fairfield rooms - share housekeeping. I'm sure there are other sharing of costs efficiencies that are able to be achieved. But they still keep separate the unique brand benefits - if you have a Fairfield keycard then you get to enjoy the free hot breakfast on that side; but Fairfield doesn't offer lunch/dinner service so you could walk over to the Courtyard side and eat in its bistro. Rooms are standardly nice Fairfield style; with the heating-A/C in the wall unit that blows the air directly onto the bed. I always have to block/redirect the air from the vent when I stay at a Fairfield property. Decent gym. The free hot breakfast is the Fairfield standard - some fruit, eggs, hardboiled eggs, sausage patty, breads, oatmeal, yogurt, cereals, coffee.
