Loved it here,great friendly staff,rocking atmosphere,nice sizeable clean room,and top location. We are in our 50s ,so if you still act as young as you feel,this place is for you,think this will be our number one accommodation every time we are in Chester from now on. Thank you all at commercial👍

Central Location, affordable tariff

Absolutely slap bang in the centre of Chester. Nearby multi story carpark, New Market, was £13 for the 24 hours we stayed. The hotel is shabby but perfectly functional and our room was large enough with a big bathroom, Wordsworth. Staff are friendly and helpful. Music on until 2am- but just take earplugs if it's a problem to you. Affordable tarrif. £80 for a Friday night November stay. You can't argue with that!

My partner and I stayed here Friday night. Great location, very friendly warm staff.lashings of hot water, really gorgeous spacious bathroom. Coffee and tea making facilities. Nice clean towels snd room. Lean. They could do with changing the mattress though, could feel every spring, The Bar was quite hard to find, no parking, but car park very close by. The Bar is open until 2am so if you want an early night this is not the place for you.

Up some steps and along a short alley the Inn was easy to miss. Other reviews mentioned loud music till late, our stay on a wed.and thurs nights was quiet, as the pub closed at 6 and we were the only guests. Breakfast to my taste was an overcooked full English. The bedroom and bathroom were at the top of the building up some grubby stairs. The room needed a vacuum, the bath had second hand soap on the side, overall maintenance - many items needed attention - a lot very simple and minimal if any cost. It was as if those running the place had little care and were just going through the motions of operating it. Overall a poor experience.

Good points: - central location - spacious room Bad points: - very loud music in the courtyard until two o'clock in the morning was highly disruptive and totally unsuitable for a hotel. That alone made this a poor stay.
