Clean, cozy, friendly. Conveniently located, comparable pricing, we all enjoyed our stay very much. My teen enjoyed the wall murals...😄 we will definitely be booking here again on our next trip out to the coast
The Good The Bad and The Ugly

The Good, Nice quiet location away from other hotels. Friendly front desk staff
The Bad, there is only 4 lounge chairs at the pool, with the amount of rooms that was a little disappointing. Most of the day they had towels on them "holding them"
No place to shower off after the beach, So you take your sandy feet and wash them off in the pool before going back to room
The Ugly, our bathroom had mold on upper part of walls, stained chair in room. The hotel needs some sprucing up. Shutters missing and what looks like a project that was started a year ago is all grown over with grass and weeds.
It’s by the beach!!

This is the “gulf view “ that we payed extra for- the room was clean, except for a little mold in the bathroom- but if I were basing the rating of the attitude of the lady at the front desk, I would give it zero stars! The view is pretty, it’s right across from the beach (as you can see from our trees) and the breakfast is ok - it’s advertised to run until 9:00, but the attendant starts getting lazy around 8:45. It’s ok- but a stretch to be worth $279 a night.

I couldn’t wait to review The Inn at Long Beach! My husband and I just checked out after a three night stay.
I was looking for “a quiet place.” (BTW can’t wait for part 2 of that movie lol!)
Nothing busy. There’s a time and a place for that. I just wanted to get a good base tan, have a variety of nearby places to dine and if the moment struck, have some fun.
This was perfect!
Our receptionists were very nice and informative. We were assigned gulf view room 617. Upon entering the room, I was very pleased with the setup, cleanliness and the view of the gulf. The trees didn’t obstruct the view. In fact, the treetops were beautiful when gazing down. Now, the room was a little bit dated. By that I mean for example, the nice, large crowning architecture (along the ceiling) could use some sanding and a new coat of paint.
The bathroom had an attractive granite countertop with under counter sink, pretty architectural mirror trim, lots of room to move around and a typical tub/shower. The shower water pressure was perfect in our room 617. In fact, I LOVED the removable shower head so much that I took a picture of it so I could try to find it for my home! The sink’s water pressure was a little bit slow but seriously didn’t affect anything. Water got very hot! That was a plus. It too could use a little paint/wallpaper change.
I’ll get a bit picky here because one reviewer stated that the countertop seemed like it was being held up with caulk.
So, I was looking for this and my bathroom was absolutely nothing like that... I will say that caulking always looks great at first even when not done properly, but the imperfections will show quickly. So, managers should inspect the caulking jobs closer. If the gap is not fully filled and has that rounded concave appearance from a finger, the housekeeping cleaning products will settle in the grooves and will completely ruin the aesthetic appeal of the pretty granite bathroom. When people sit these things jump out. Lol! There was a bit of dust buildup on the baseboard tops in the corners.
I did notice that the housekeeper failed to vacuum behind the large comfortable chair in the corner of the room. Otherwise, the room was truly very clean.
The television was larger than expected and had lots of channels HBO etc. The WiFi worked well. Hooking up my fire stick was a cinch!
The A/C worked great.
The room had two queen beds (my husband has a CPAP) It was a great surprise to see that the clock had two electrical outlets and two USB ports built in on top! He just plugged in the CPAP and cell phone right there! If you have a CPAP/BIPAP unit you know how aggravating it is to move the nightstand around and usually have to end up unplugging the lamp or clock. I also took a picture of this clock so I could put one in my guest room!
There was no problem getting extra towels and toiletries. For example, I requested some more K-cup coffee for the Keurig coffee maker, a shower cap and extra wash cloths. Within minutes the nice receptionist was at my door!
The pool was nice. Nothing large and fancy just right. Pool towels were available.
Beach access via walking I was very easy. I was concerned about crossing the street, but it’s divided and traffic wasn’t a problem. We took our truck once and just hopped over. There’s a huge, wide parking area the runs along the street on the beach.. perfect to get that wagon full of toys there for those with little ones.
Hot breakfast was included and great! The soda and ice machines were at the end of the odd number floors. There was only one snack vending machine which was on the ground floor and several items were out. So, to be safe you may want to bring your candy bars, chips etc.
The hotel was quiet. A couple of times I heard motorcycles go by but it wasn’t an ongoing occurrence. Island View casino was only 3.5 miles away and my husband won $1,000 playing blackjack!
Well, that’s my review! It was a great weekend and this will be my quick go-to getaway place in the future!
Well deserved break

When in doubt stay here if you are looking for quiet yet beach atmosphere. Downtown Long Beach has a small, welcoming town feel. The hotel is doing some remodeling but we never heard it. The pool is Gulf side.
