Um dos meus hoteis preferidos que fica em Manchester. Atendimento a cada vez que vou é melhor, são muito bem receptivos e atenciosos. Os quartos são muito luxuosos, perfeitos e limpos. O banheiro é muito lindo e sempre cheirosos. Vale a pena se hospedar no Velvet sem nenhuma restrição!

We have just come back from an overnight stay here as part of the “Stay for Free” deal. Our room was absolutely stunning and completely spotless. The size of the room is fantastic too and had lovely touches like a coffee machine for morning coffees. The staff there were really friendly, excellent customer service and nothing was too much trouble, they managed to squeeze us into the restaurant despite our late booking. The food from the bar was outstanding quality, everything is fresh and seems to be home made. The drinks were great too and the room service was perfectly in line with social distancing. Without a doubt, would stay here again and would recommend this to anybody and everybody. Once the second lockdown is over we will be back!
BEAUTIFUL HOTEL AND ROOM FAB BATH
Unfortunately not a great sleep, felt I was in a boiler room with lots of noise pipes heating etc. Black out blinds is a must, although the room was beautifully decorated I feel that blinds would be best. Staff very nice and food and drinks delicious.
Stay for free offer
Just back from a fantastic stay at this beautiful hotel. Stay for free offer sounded too good to be true but it was!!!! £99 for overnight stay and received £99 to spend in the restaurant on food and drinks. Amazing offer. Hotel rooms are unique ours was a gothic themed room it was fabulous. Staff were friendly and helpful nothing too much trouble. Joe on reception was fab, explained the offer and helped with ordering drinks room service. The food in the restaurant was beautiful, atmosphere and attention to detail was spot on. Socially distanced dining at its best Will definitely be returning
Sad experience
We visited Velvet for a break away and to have a change of scenery and hopefully a bit of luxury. Having stayed there before we thought we were on to a guaranteed happy experience. We stay in hotels many, many times through the year based here in the UK and abroad and we always try to book hotels with class, distinction and interesting features. We stayed in two different rooms during our weekend away, a balcony room and a standard king room. In our first room the bed looked amazing upon first entering the room but we quickly learnt that during darker hours you can’t see the bottom legs sticking out into the Room and the gap between the bed and the TV isn’t exactly helpful. This led to my partner breaking his toe and me ending up with a monster bruise on my shin. We went out to town on our first day and upon returning we found our hotel room door hadn’t closed and locked and when we went into the room and tried to close the door it wouldn’t. After a bit of investigation we found that the metal at the base of the door was sticking out and stopping the door from closing automatically. That night I tried to wash my hair using the hand held shower attachment but it didn’t work so I had to actually get in to the shower just to wash my hair. The second day we moved to our king room and whilst at the reception we did convey our dissatisfaction to the reception who whilst very polite didn’t seem too interested in the fact that we had injured ourselves in any way. Our second room seemed ok but in the morning of our check out I decided to make us a coffee and found the coffee machine still full of water and scum floating around in it which I had to clean before I used it. Finally making the coffee and looking forward to much much needed morning boost. Whilst stood there in my shorts and having a bare torso the coffee machine decided to explode spraying scalding steamed water all over me. When we left we again advised the receptionist about our issues and were told that the maintenance team would be notified but again absolutely no interest in reporting any accident. Finally she advised me that it must have been my fault because there is no reason for it to happen unless I failed to secure the lid properly. Having a machine like this at home I did advise that I was fully aware of how to use the machine in a sensible and safe way which I did and it was clearly an issue with the device. These may seem like very minor issues but with the price you pay you don’t expect these issue to hamper your stay wether it’s your fist experience or tenth. Velvet is and extremely unique hotel in a beautiful and fascinating building and it’s just a shame we had these problems and they weren’t dealt with in the correct Proffesional manner. I will still stay at velvet and will still recommend it to my friends and family I just hope my future stays are slightly better.
