Good hotel with one exception.

This hotel seemed clean and maintained. The maintenance guy seemed to always be walking around doing something. The employees we encountered were very friendly. There was a nice sitting area outside the office area. Our room was spacious and had vinyl wood plank flooring instead of carpeting which I thought was a plus. The breakfast was very good. They had a lot of variety of items from which to choose. The only drawback and reason that I didn't rate it 5 stars is there is no one in the lobby or on call in case of problems from 11pm to 7am. They actually give you an extra key to put somewhere else in case you lose your key to your room between those times. We had someone walking back and forth along the corridor talking on his cell at 1am. We really weren't sure what was going on and didn't have anyone to call. Not sure if this is normal practice or not.

Great Place to Stay

I thought the room was great. Clean and spacious with lots of tv channels to choose from. It is centrally located and close to just about everything. The hotel also has a light at the entrance which makes it very easy to get onto the busy street.

Perfect stay and easy

Perfect location. Easy to get to and slightly remote. Chose here due to not being in Colorado Springs and wanted to go downtown for dinner and drinks without huge crowds. Downtown is very quaint but most all stores closed at 5 pm. Come in on a Saturday. Shuttle out front no longer running downtown Manitou so we drove there. Parking is free after 6pm. Room was nice and all we needed for a one night stay. Bed was a little bouncy for my liking but hubby loved it. Floors were nice and new and not carpet. Continental breakfast was just right. Did have biscuits and gravy, waffles, yogurt, jimmy dean sandwiches , and other yummies.

Great value, nice clean place

My wife and I came to Manitou Springs for a getaway this past weekend to celebrate our anniversary. Have stayed at this place before and it is still the best value in the area. The hotel has been remodeled and owner says more upgrades are coming. Very clean! Very friendly ownership. Located in the middle of all things to do in Manitou. Nice and clean breakfast area. Spotless parking area. Free shuttle comes to hotel every 25 minutes to take you to downtown Manitou where parking is at a premium. Great places to eat across the street and more just a few blocks away.

Could be cute but needs cleaning

First of all we are not used to nor expecting to pay $2 to use the hotel ice machine. Also we were given a parking pass and told we had to return or pay $5. The room was cute but the floor in the shower was stained and the grout was dark. Needed a good cleaning. The staff was nice at check in. But this place will try to Nicole and find you to death
