Janet will fix you a hearty breakfast while Mike writes down the postcodes for your visits to enter into your gps. The area is brimming with archeological findings, WWII history, and gorgeous trees lining the hill roads (so horses would not get warm).

Breathtaking Breakfast Views

My son and I had the pleasure of staying at this lovely farmhouse B and B and we were treated to such hospitality and warmth. The family were very welcoming and made us feel at home. It is situated in an idyllic setting which is beautifully calm and tranquil . A convenient 15 minutes away from our weekend destination of Fordingbridge Janet cooked a stunning breakfast in the morning and we were treated to breathtaking views across the valley whilst we ate. - we will most definitely return and hopefully stay for a little longer. Thank you for looking after us and for making us feel at home. We had a great nights sleep, delicious breakfast and really enjoyed our time with you! Debbie and Josh 😀

I chose the lodge as a base for my adventure motorcycling. It is located on a historic right-of-way and also has good road links to Salisbury and surrounding areas. Room was very spacious, comfy and the view from it was stunning. Food options were all delicious and very filling, perfect for heading out on a day's ride! A special thanks to the owners and family who clearly go to a lot of effort to ensure their guests are well looked after. Much too can be learned from them about the area and it's military history. They even helped rescue my motorcycle from an impossibly deep clay rut I had managed to get myself stuck in! Couldn't ask for more!

Enjoyed one night here, wish we could have stayed for longer. Very welcoming, comfortable room, excellent breakfast. Great location, easy to reach but very quiet with beautiful views. Very handy for the Chalke Farm history festival and a short drive to Salisbury.

My wife and I stayed here two weeks ago. We were 4 miles from arriving at Lodge Farmhouse, when our rental car broke down. We called Michael and Janet, the owners to let them know we would be late checking in. He immediately drove to us and offered to take my wife and our luggage back to the lodging while I waited for the tow truck to pick up the rental car and take me to Enterprise to get another vehicle. This took 6 hours. He was very accommodating and willing to help us in anyway. Once we finally had the car taken care of and made it to his lodge, our room was nicely appointed with an en suite, and nice perks such as free tea, and snacks. They had a wonderful full breakfast the next morning that is included in the room rate. Very comfortable. We will never forget their kindness in helping us in a difficult situation with our rental car.
