Good enough for an overnight stay, but needs some organization and more staff
Avaliou em 28 de Setembro de 2021
First of all, I do not have a complaint about the front desk staff who were working their butts off. It appeared that they only have one staff person on duty at a time, and that person had to check people in, answer the phone, restock the breakfast area, answer questions, etc., etc. That was part of the problem - one person can just not keep up with everything.
The room was clean, quiet, roomy, and comfortable, but they definitely need more staff to empty trash in the common areas, bathrooms, and pick up trash in the hallways (why do people leave trash there???).
I can deal with waiting and overflowing trash cans in this pandemic time of labor shortages, but not the lack of towels. Lucky for me, I had read these reviews right before checking in and saw the common complaint of no towels, so I looked as soon as we got in the room. Our party of 4 checked in at 8:00 pm, and the only towel in the room was one hand towel. I went to the front desk to ask for towels, and they were in the washer and not ready until 10:00 pm. (Of course, front desk staff person was also doing the laundry.) What if we had an event that evening that we had to wash up for? Management really needs to purchase more towels, especially if there is not enough staff to wash them in a timely manner so that there is at least the minimum of one towel per guest in the room. If bulk Holiday Inn towels are not available due to supply chain issues, go to one of the many stores on Route 1 and buy some!!
We had reserved one of the bigger rooms with a couch. The couch was in the room, but there was no lighting over it, no floor lamp, and in a dark corner, so it was not that useful except as a pull out bed. There was also a defective bulb in the desk lamp, so it was difficult for my son to do his homework in the room.
There was no refrigerator in the room as there was supposed to be - just a big empty spot where it belonged. I understand that things break, but it should be noted on the room log, so the front desk could offer one for our room if we desired. (If they indeed had any!) There was no iron in the room either, just an empty spot for one.
Pool and exercise room were closed due to labor shortages, but it looks decent sized if it ever reopens.
Another odd thing that is probably an issue with the Holiday Inn reservation system, not the hotel itself - I never got an email confirmation of my reservation, nor an email receipt after check out. I know they had my correct email address because I received an email for remote check in and an evaluation survey afterwards. I looked in my spam folder, and nothing is there.
In short, this is a perfectly fine place to crash for one night, especially if you remember to bring your own towels, but not the best for a longer stay. The hotel probably needs to raise wages and get more employees. My brother stayed at another hotel down the road at a cheaper rate than this one, and that hotel was adequately staffed, with four people at their front desk, and other people dong cleaning and maintenance.
Back Doors Propped Open
Avaliou em 20 de Setembro de 2021
Back doors of hotel are constantly propped open with a tan rock or soda can which disqualifies any re-booking on my part. This hotel is not alone with this practice. Wonder why these hotels pay for a card security system and then allow employees to prop the doors? The back door is propped so often, it doesn’t close properly unless you pull it shut. Why is door propping a disqualifier for me? Well, all the staff have cards to get in, so it must be propped for people who don’t have cards. Guest safety should be a priority.
Shame! The room was nice. Big. Comfy beds. With USB’s by bed and little reading lights you can turn besides the lamps. Baby microwave and fridge. Nice bathroom with complimentary shampoo, conditioner, shower gel dispensers. Pool is COVID closed. Breakfast is pre-packaged affair due to COVID also. No fruit.
Shortage of coins means staff did not have quarters for available washer and dryer. Bring your own.
Note: Grocery, Bank of America, Home Depot near by. Fast food galore but check out the Feisty Greek for delicious kabobs and spanakopita! Yum!
When are housekeeping services being reinstated

Hotel was fine however, there is no maid service until 5th day. Towels were collected if left outside the door but had to call down for new sets. Most times they only had two towels available and had to wait for the others. Garbage was emptied if left outside the door. Needed to call down for toilet paper and hand soap. The front desk was accommodating but the constant calling down for room necessities was a bit annoying. Also should not be charging the same rate as with housekeeping services.
Good Clean Rooms

My family and I traveled to see family in the Boston area, we stayed for one night and it was a clean and close hotel for our purposes of taking a shower and a bed to sleep in. We also enjoyed the Grab and Go breakfast which is the Free Breakfast being offered due to Coronavirus pandemic. I will be using this hotel when I return to visit family again.
Rooms good but overall atmosphere needs serious work

Our family came to the area for a funeral, booked two rooms for 3 nights. Rooms themselves were clean and comfortable, but the whole floor stank of marijuana, and at least one of the nights our immediate next door neighbors were having some sort of party and played loud music into the wee hours of the morning.
The front desk person for the overnight shift had a poor attitude and acted incredibly put upon when asked for extra towels or to help with the noisy neighbors. The person there in the morning was much friendlier.
I understand COVID has required them to adapt procedures - no maid service for stays shorter than 5 nights, no breakfast buffet, but a grab and go situation that consisted of a single bagel in a brown paper bag, and milk, cream cheese, and yogurt in the fridge. Am wondering if the reduced maid service is the reason why they didn't work very hard to find out the source of the weed smell or air out the floor during the day.
Again, the rooms themselves, no complaints whatsoever, and we were gone each day from around 9 AM to 7 PM, but would have preferred a quiet, smoke free stay.
