Just okay...there are nicer hotels who wont sneak charges on you.

Don't be fooled by the hotel pet policy. The policy on the Wyndham site says $30 per stay, not $30 per night. When I tried to get an explanation for the price gouge the front desk person accused me of "sneaking" my Yorkie and Chihuahua into the hotel for my two-night stay. I was okay when reserving the rooms to pay $60 for my pets during my stay. I was unaware it was $30 per night so be careful. They will rip you off if they can! The front desk lady I spoke to on the phone even said, "I thought I changed our pet policy on all the sites to say it's $30 per night." I told her "per stay" is very misleading. She refused to compromise or make anything right. Don't stay here. I have family in McAlester and visit frequently and will not return to this hotel.

A useful and pleasant place en route, but the concrete barriers placed along the highway make it difficult to access when traveling north. Blame the state engineers I guess. Didn't the city have a say?

Clean Hotel at a Reasonable Price

Very attractive lobby area. Large and relaxing appearance. Old style room but a very large room. Very large bathroom too and the deepest bathtub I’ve ever seen. Microwave and Mini Fridge. Nice TV. More channel selections than the Marriott Grand in St Louis. Plastic bags in trash cans. A nice touch and very hygienic. Incandescent lighting in some areas. The tub was large, but the grout around the bathtub was horribly moldy. Probably because the vent fan did not work. The room steamed up during my shower and moisture was everywhere. Breakfast. Free - and nicely done. Limited cereal choices though. Scrambled eggs, sausage, cereal, biscuits, muffins, milk, juices, coffee. Good layout and clean. FAX machine and scotch tape dispenser in the room. Ever seen that? Security comfort level on the back entrance was sketchy. The breaker bar was secured in the unlocked position. If locked, the card reader was inoperable. Except for the moldy grout, the place was very clean upon arrival. Bath towels are less than the best quality and the staff tend to be stingy when asking for extras. There was some maintenance work going on behind the ceiling tiles, but no men actually working on them that we saw. Sadly, for some, the pool and hot tub were out of order. All in all, we would stay here again. Four stars for a very good effort, good breakfast and large room.

Clean comfortable room

This is a very nice property. The rooms are spacious and comfortable. The staff were all courteous and friendly. There was a plentiful selection at breakfast. My only disappointment was the pool was not operational while we were there.

Exceptional clean but flawed.

The rooms are tiny and crowded with large furniture but nothing comfortable to sit on. The back entry that should have been a card-read lock was broken. The beds were comfortable. The breakfast was AMAZING! The lady that served breakfast was great. The pool and hot tub were broken which was a major bummer and put a huge dent in our plans. So, it was a room and it was clean. If we go back, it would be for the breakfast service.
