No remote for the AC. Rooms starts in second floor up, but they dont have a lift. You have to carry your luggage yourself. Too expensive for the service they offer. The shower is flooded in our room, and carpet is very dirty. It's an old house turned hotel, but the old vibe is still there. Location? It's a 30 min walk to the red square, not 20, definitely not 10. Breakfast is good..on your first day. But menu never changes and very little selection, no water cold/warm water. They have for tea and coffee only. The lady in reception speaks good english and friendly.
Small rooms, lousy breakfast
Stayed at the Fligel hotel in Moscow, only good thing was the location. Near the Red Square and the HSE. Rooms are tiny, beds hard, bathrooms even tinier, breakfast room only has 4 tables, not much variation
Hidden. But perfect stay and location.
Was a little worried at first after such a long trip to get to Moscow and to be met with bright lights of the hotel that reminded us of a brass house in soho. But the rooms made us think that even more. That joking aside. The staff and reception were welcoming. And very helpful. Free WiFi and map and directions to red square and the local bar and restaurants literally 2 turnings away. Comfy bed. Giant shower. Room Cleaned both days we stayed. 24 servicing. Key card access required to get in. And considering this was the World Cup. It wasn’t extortion either. Would highly recommend
Fligel Hotel, Moscow
Overall this hotel is good as far as price/location. The hotel is nothing fancy but the service is friendly and helpful. They tried to meet every request and were quite nice. Breakfast is lackluster. We ended up buying food from the grocery store and keeping in our room's mini fridge to supplement what is provided in the breakfast which is really toast, sliced meats and cheese. I would recommend the hotel to anyone that is traveling alone or wants to save on costs and be within a 10 minute walk to Red Square.
Quiet have in the city bustle
The Hotel is not large but is well appointed with modern amenities and a great location. It is only about 20 minutes walk to Red Square and The Bolshoi theatre, which - given Moscow traffic and the amount of renovations underway - is a superb location. Rooms are comfortable and my bed was a generous size with fresh new linen. Prices are reasonable and service is excellent - friendly, helpful and attentive.
