Clean BUT hotel had NOT been "updated" & no breakfast was available as claimed in their description.

Stayed here 1 night Thursday 2/16/23. Greeted by nice man at front desk initials of "GM". Stayed in room 101. This place has NOT been renovated as claimed in their description, or at least room 101 hadn't been. Room was clean but carpet didn't look clean, kinda smelled ( why don't all hotels go with tile or laminate, so much easier to keep clean!) Front desk later told hubby there wouldn't be any of their (advertised) free breakfast available because 'they didn't get their food delivery." Well, OK then. No offer to discount our rate a tiny bit. Place was quiet other than the highway noise. Looks like a bunch of working folks stay here, saw lots of work trucks in the evening time. Lots of parking available. Outside pool was small but adequate, not open for season yet. Did look like some parts of buildings were being worked on. Bottom line: Clean room but we didn't appreciate being told things that weren't true in their description, & probably would not stay here again. At least the front desk guy was friendly.

The staff was fabulous and everyone was friendly and always greeting you. Rooms were nice and spacious. The breakfast choices were amazing!! Something for everyone hot and cold. Tim helped us check in and out and was very knowledgeable about the area. Thank you

Astonishingly Bad

This used to be one of the nicer hotels in the area. I don't know what happened, but it has gone downhill tremendously - The staff were rude and unaccomodating and the rooms were nasty, not clean, and smelled of mildew. Place is falling apart. When we made the reservation we called the front desk, not the 800 number and requested adjoining rooms. We were informed that they would do their best to accommodate, but at check in later said they did not even have the room types available. They were rude and unwilling to help reach a satisfactory resolution. They did not inform us of the breakfast hours at check-in, so when we went down at 9:30AM while everything was still out and available, we were told that breakfast was closed. The pool was green, rooms were really falling apart, the doors did not self close like they are supposed to - this is a safety hazard, rusted fixtures, the toilet was not secured to the floor, disgusting linens, mold, all the furniture looks like it was sitting out in the rain with water damage and just completely run down conditions. Take it from a Travel Agent, Meeting Planner and Former Employee - I would not recommend this hotel to anybody and it's a shame that Choice continues to have them under their flag because this is not Choice Quality.

2nd floor room (I am 80) Rug was filthy. Trash in parking lot and bins full. TV did not work (would not turn off). Had to unplug alarm clock (It went off every hour) This motel is beyond repair and should be demolished

There is nothing of quality about Quality Inn in Mt Pleasant, TX! It is unkept, dirty, smelly, run-down, bug infested and just plain disgusting. This place is not fit for human or pet habitation. I would not recommend this place.
