From the photo's on the website the hotel looks lovely but we quickly realized how dated the rooms are. The rooms themselves are quite big, but the carpet is old and dirty. The desk chair had tears and the "leather" was worn away. Neither of the beds in our room had a bed skirt on them. The lights are dull and dim. The bathroom itself is very small, the door could not open all the way and the hinges on the bathroom door were rusted. The first room we were given had tables stacked on top of each other throughout it so we had to get a new room. The pool ran out of towels on Friday evening and we had to use towels from our room, but then they ran out of clean towels on Saturday and were asking guests to leave dirty towels in the hallway to be picked up. Friday evening at 9pm I waited at the front desk for 20 minutes to see if they had an toothbrushes as my daughter had forgotten hers. No one ever came to the desk so I gave up and went to my room. Not once during my 2 night stay did I see housekeeping of any kind. Our TV was not working and the maintenance guy that came up to our room to fix it was not wearing any Holiday Inn clothing or a name tag and looked like he could have walked in off the street. The food in the restaurant and bar was not good. They do not have a POS system in the bar, bills are hand written and it took a long time to get the bill. Overall the entire weekend the hotel was short staffed. I would not recommend this hotel for future stays in Norwich.

Disgusting, never again, the roof/walls were coated in black mold, the bathroom curtain was moldy, the bathroom wasn't cleaned, blood stains on the sheets....Only positives were the shuttle to the Mohegan Sun, which on the way back we had to pound on the side of the van for the driver to open the door, the bed was like a worn in rock, heat/ac sounded like a paint shaker, tv only worked on 4 channels. NEVER again.

We stayed for one night on 12/28. The first problem was the lack of soap in the room. The television had only local channels, and poor reception to boot. There was no channel guide in the room or broadcast on the television. The room was too warm but I could not adjust the heat. There was no hairdryer in the room. The desk chair in the room was a disgrace, it should have been thrown out a long time ago. While any one of these issues is relatively minor taken as a whole they suggest a lack of care and concern on the part of the hotel management

Manager Went The Extra Mile!

I am an IHG Rewards member. We needed to extend our stay by one additional day. Due to a concert happening nearby, we were not able to use a reward certificate via the web page. The manager approved us using it as an override and we called IHG to coordinate. Very impressed with how they accommodated what we needed.

Overpriced for what you get!

Musty hallways, tv that doesn’t work, no hairdryer in the room! Tried calling the front desk to see if they have hairdryers but got no answer, tried 4 times. The staff was very good face to face! Unfortunately, the hotel ranks along the lines of other $100 hotels!
