Lovely family run hotel in beautiful rural location

Arrived in a mid-Summer thunderstorm and the staff couldn't have been more helpful, very friendly and made the children (and ourselves) so welcome. Hotel is in a lovely location within the Black Forest, with an easy 5 minute stroll into the small town with just the essential amenities (pub / restaurant, small shops, etc). Room was very spacious for our family, and it was wonderful to have 2 separate rooms (the children's single beds were in a kind of entrance / separate section). Overall, the accommodation was very spacious, even including a large balcony with pleasant view. The kids also loved the hotel grounds, where they made friends with the hotel's bunny rabbit! PS - only downside was lack of working wi-fi

Fantastic Gasthaus makes vacation perfect

We had a bit of a difficult time finding the location because 2A would not go into our GPS but the Hotel is wonderful. We booked the apartment and was so impressed with the spacousness of the room and the fantastic appearance. Not a thing was out of place and it was clean clean clean. The breakfast was a high point with all the wonderful local breads, cheeses, jams, fruit, etc, Lovely hostess is friendly and made us feel at home completly

We have been there, my family and my brother's family. Had an amazing stay in this hotel everything was just perfect. The schachers are wonderful and helpful and they did everything to make our vacation great. the rooms are big and very clean. the area is just amazing. would love to go there again.

My boyfriend and I just happened upon this inn on our travels through the Black Forest, and we couldn't have found a better place. We only stayed one night last May, but I wish we could have stayed more. Besides being a beautiful property, the owners were super friendly. After we had dinner, we got some beer and wine and hung out downstairs. After awhile the owner came and sat down with us, shared all different types of beers and schnapps and told us stories & jokes. The next morning we woke up to a really great breakfast. I really couldn't have asked for anything more. I will definitely stay there again!

The owners clearly take great pride in the standard of accommodation and spent considerable effort to make our stay comfortable. The rooms are spotless, the breakfasts sumptuous and expert advice for local walks. We were so pleased we extended our stay. The local village is not lively but the restaurants serve good honest food. This is an excellent base from which to walk or cycle around the hills and down the valley.
