Wonderful staff that will make your stay special

The staff is amazing, very helpful and welcoming. They do everything they can to make your stay as pleasant as possible. A great experience. The place is safe, close to stunning cliffs, the hotel offers free transportation to a near by beach where you get free beds/umbrellas on the beach.

Excellent vacation, exceptional service

Fresh from our 10-day stay, we recommend Hotel Solara highly and without reservation. We had a terrific vacation. The rooms are very comfortable and clean. The property is totally family friendly - fun activities by the pool during the day, music and dancing at night in the covered bar area. It's very kid-oriented. Our 6-year old especially enjoyed the nightly music and dancing led by the entertainment team. A short walk takes you to a beautiful cliff-top walking trail with fabulous views. A shuttle bus runs regularly between the hotel and a beautiful beach, just a few minutes drive away. 20 minutes by car takes you to the stunning old town of Otranto - a true gem of a seaside town. Half-board rates are very reasonable. Breakfast and one other meal included; just 10 Euro per person if you want to add the missing meal. The food offerings are delicious. Lots of great fresh seafood, great pasta dishes, meats, plentiful and varied side dishes, fruit, deserts. And wine included! The restaurant staff were exceptional. They could not have been more accommodating and helpful, warm and friendly. The chef and the wait staff went out of their way to cater to our daughter who is both celiac and a picky eater. Highest praise to Umberto, Domenico, Luigi, and chef - all of whom demonstrated hospitality at its best. In fact all of the staff were exceptional - reception, entertainers, bar, and cleaning staff all made our stay a happy, comfortable and fun one. We felt like we were saying good bye to friends when the time came to leave. Thank you Hotel Solara, from the Rotelli family. We will be back!

Nice place close to the sea. Really kind, and helpful staff. Clean rooms and nice pool. Too much fly in to the balkony. We enjoyed a hearty italian breakfast. Close to Otranto, the easternmost town in Italy.

We stayed here (a group o 5) for 2 nights in the 2nd week of October. Luigi and Simone couldn't have been more helpful and friendly. After 1st October the other resorts close and here the pool is closed at this time. There are still places open to eat in the area and Otranto isn't too far away. I really enjoyed my stay here. Thanks to everyone there that made it so delightful

Non ho dato 5 stelle perchè gli arredi delle stanze sono abbastanza datati, ma per il resto l'hotel merita veramente il massimo dei voti. La posizione è uno spettacolo, con una piacevole passeggiata nella pineta si può accedere al mare direttamente da delle scalette scavate nella scogliera che affacciano sull'acqua. Una cosa veramente meravigliosa e unica. Certo, non si deve essere amanti delle spiagge servite...lì è solo la natura a farti compagnia. Personale gentile, bella la piscina e ottima la cucina. Ci tornerei volentieri
