Relaxing for the body and senses. The view from the open air massage area was amazing. Friendly hotel, restaurant staff.

We went to the spa and it was amazing. They have an infinity pool on one level and a jacuzzi, sauna and turkish bath on the lower level. We had the spa program called Restore spa. It had the sauna, turkish bath , jacuzzi as well as the whole body massage, exfoliation, facial hydration. There’s also dinner and the food was superb.

We've been pretty much all over the world, and we found paradise in Hotel Visus. Me and my husband stayed at Visus in February and came back in March . The service is incredible, the food is superb, the spa treatments/sauna are formidable and so clean. the establishment is a D R E A M ! ! ! I must confess, my husband didn't want me to write a review in fear that the hotel will get really busy and then we won't be able to book ;-) We stayed in the Perseus room; very comfortable with great views, quiet and a plush huge bed. We will be back real soon. Victor at the front desk is so helpful and kind. Lucho, our evening server is such a happy guy. Every body at Visus is genuine, gentle and professional. They spoiled us; THANK YOU.

I noticed that no one has posted for more than two years and wondered why... I was told that there aren’t any 5 star hotels in the coffee region so upon being dropped off at the Visus Boutique and Spa, I had no expectations. However, upon walking into the hotel, my family and I were awed with the boutique feel, beautiful lobby, and infinity edge pool with a nice view. The grounds were so peaceful and tranquil, and our upstairs suite spacious, luxurious and comfortable. The patio deck was huge and had a nice hammock with a large seating area. Birds were singing and the sunset was amazing! The whole family immediately (and hastily) declared it was the nicest hotel of the trip thus far (better than the St. Regis, JW Marriott Bogota and the Marriott Medellin.) We were excited to eat at the nicely arranged open seating area for dinner. The weather was perfect and the menu looked appealing. Then, everything went downhill from there... The hotel restaurant was the most expensive meal we had eaten in Colombia (US prices) and the food was one of the worst! We ordered the featured tomahawk steak at a medium temperature and it came out very rare. The “fresh” fish was over-cooked and dry, the shrimp dish was not good and the salmon dish was pedestrian. Meanwhile, during the meal, we attempted to keep all the insects (beetles, flies, and various winged insects) out of our drinks and off our dishes. I wondered to my kids how many insects we each ate during the meal. Very disappointing! The following evening, we opted to take a taxi and go to the Unicentro Mall where we ate a fast food meal at Frisby’s- Colombia’s version of KFC. The chicken came out piping hot and delicious. Try it if you’ve never had it. Way better that the Visus hotel restaurant food. Breakfast was included and we were a little more reticent from our experience at dinner. The coffee was bad (bad coffee in the coffee region??) and the eggs were passable but the fruit was excellent. (Papaya was our favorite fruit in Colombia). Both breakfasts, we ordered much less than what was included. To my disappointment at check out, the 9 bottles of water that we ordered at the two breakfasts were charged to our bill. Now, I can afford to pay for bottles of water but when a hotel calls itself a boutique hotel and you’re not supposed to drink the tap water, water should be complimentary. Not boutiquey at all! The disappointing food was not even the worst part of our stay. On our first night, when the family started taking showers in our two rooms, there was no cold water! One by one, we took turns showering in scalding hot water. I was the last to go and, when I thought it couldn’t be any worse, the hot water ran out too. I attempted to use the last few drops of water to rinse off the soap from my body. The staff was apologetic but had to demonstrate that the water was working in the downstairs lobby bathroom. Why, I don’t know. It was a little offensive. To add insult to injury, the toilets didn’t work either. Luckily, it was 10pm at night and the staff promised to work on it. The blasting water awoke all of us at 6am in the morning since we had not shut off the handles properly but we were happy to get water back. The service was subpar as a whole. Ruben was attentive but most of the other staff members were aloof and seemed to have a forced etiquette. Overall, aside from our plumbing issues, the accommodations were beautiful and luxurious but the service and food left something to be desired. Management needs to change things quickly or this property will continue its demise. 5 stars for the accommodations 1 star for the terrible food (breakfast and dinner) 2 stars for service

We went to this restauran per a recommendation. The locale was gorgeous and ample, within spacious grounds. It felt like a piece of heaven. We ordered fish and shrimp entrees which tasted great Highly recommend Katby and Gabe from NY

By far one of the most beautiful places you could stay in Colombia. The staff is beyond friendly and go out of their way to make you feel at home. We were all blown away by the level of customer service. I have to give a special thank you to William one of their waiters. This man is truly the nicest person you could meet. He's a hard worker and makes you feel at home. I only hope to be able to return to this paradise one day. Highly recommended.
