The hotel is quite new. Rooms were really clean and the cleaning was everyday. Rooms were enough big for four people and AC worked well. The staff was really helpful and kind. The only minusside was that the beach nearby was full of trash.

We stayed here for 3 nights as part of a 6 week self guided cycle tour of Vietnam and Cambodia. We cycled from the ferry to here on beautiful roads apart from one very dusty section. We had a very warm welcome. The lovely owners are very keen to make your stay a good one. Rooms are clean, spacious, with good AC, standard TV, fridge, and included breakfast is very good with a changing set of food that help yourself to. This hotel is not in the normal tourist area of Phu Quoc. An odd observation was that the fire protection appeared to be comprehensive and modern (this was not but any means the norm!) If you want to experience a 'normal Vietnamese town', then this could be for you. The military/ Coastguard, and other agencies monopolize the majority of the waterfront here. Nearby is a good prison museum and there are several islands just offshore that can be visited by boat (group or charter), and a rapidly developing island accessible by brand new cable car by the time I post this review! Other good beaches are a short, cheap taxi ride away. We chartered a Taxi for 4 hours/ 80km basis for 400k and for that, we did a circuit of the southern half of the island. We could have stopped in the heavily touristed resorts and main town (but didn't), we visited the Buddist temple - Ho Quoc Pagoda and stopped at Sao Beach. A few reviews here recommend Tre Xanh restaurant, which you will probably pass near the turn of the main road, on your arrival to Lien Thong Hotel. It is OK, but we were not keen to go back. We tried a closer restaurant called Ut Di that may be relatively new- it doesn't look much, but staff were friendly, they had a mobile with key menu items translated, and we were able to vary some menu items successfully. The food was some of the best we've had in our first 2 weeks of travels . It is all plastic chairs and bright florescent lights, but give it a shot. Other food options in town appear limited for Western tastes. We tried street prawn pancakes and banana fritters - both good.

Wow! Wonderful Owners, Clean Rooms

This hotel offers huge, bright, immaculately clean rooms very close to the port in An Thoi. Bathrooms are also spacious and immaculate, with three high-quality shower heads. My room, 403, had huge bright windows with an view of the water, letting in lots of light— and a terrace! Deluxe! But better than the hotel itself is its owners/managers, a small family who live on the premises. They’re extremely sweet and hospitable, and even put up with my asking about ten thousand questions (literally probably 40 questions, without exaggeration). My one caveat is to make sure that you make sure your room has a window if you care about natural light, as some rooms have no window. Overall, you can’t beat this place for clean/spacious rooms, warm welcome and gracious hospitality by the managing family, and a convenient/central location in An Thoi.

Rooms were spotless and cleaned daily with fresh towels, good firm bed, friendly host that went the extra mile to make us feel welcome, lovely breakfast daily, highly recommend this very affordable hotel.
