Best Place to Stay!

We were in room 203. Excellent views! It was nicely appointed as well. Nice seating in the living room. Master bedroom had roomy closets. The pool is large and very nice. It was nice to have beach chairs and umbrellas available at the beach at no extra cost as part of the resort. The beach at this resort is awesome! You can easily walk to restaurants and shopping from this location.

Hidden in Plain Sight

We have been to T&C six times (and counting...). Last year we discovered the Villa Renaissance as we were searching accommodations. It was a little more expensive than the other places we had stayed in previous years, but we will never again stay elsewhere on this island. We went back for a week this year too. If you are seeking a pristine uncrowded beach with soft fine white sand, clear turquoise water with gentle waves, Grace Bay Beach is of course unsurpassable, unequaled, matchless...Provo's population is similarly gentle, un-rushed, happy, and easygoing. And Villa Renaissance captures that spirit, low-key, peaceful, calm, with high-quality lodgings, whether it be bedrooms, bathrooms, dinnerware and cookware, or the many small touches that mark superior and caring management. The staff are unfailingly cheerful and helpful, (we interacted most with Deijah and Noice (Sp?)), always willing to go the extra mile: one day they lent us a standard fan to blow away food smells from something I had cooked, never letting on that it was the only cooling source for their open-air front desk. Other reviewers have given much more detail about the location of VR and its accessibility both to the stunning beach and to town (it's in one of the main squares in the tiny downtown area). We could not agree more with those reviewers. A shout-out though, to the little Thai Orchid, a Mom-and-Pop (or so it seems) place just outside VR's gate, and to Wake to Wake for private charters. In sum, the Villa Renaissance is a hidden gem in the heart of Provo and I suspect we will be back next year.

Absolutely Perfect!

We stayed at Villa Renaissance for a week In August and it was absolutely perfect! Unit 404 is amazing and has everything you need. The room and grounds are immaculate. The view from the two balconies was stunning. The pictures don’t do this room justice! The beach front was the best location. It was so clean and quiet. It is hard to describe how beautiful Grace Bay beach is. The color of the water remarkable. The pool is well maintained and the water was perfect. We spent most of our time on the beach but did swim in the pool in the evening. The Villa is within walking distance to many restaurants and shopping. We rented a car which worked out well for getting groceries, going from/to the airport and other beaches. We would highly recommend Villa Renaissance to anyone and hope to return!

Sunny and Spacious

The villa was bigger than we thought with two bedrooms and two bathrooms. Our group of 5 girls comfortably enjoyed the space, with one of the girls on a rollaway bed (complimentary). There were 3 doors to exit through the back of the villa so we could go easily in and out. The front door had a pin instead of key which was super convenient. Kitchen was also convenient, as was the washer and dryer. The best part was that the resort was peaceful, and the employees were quiet, but so attentive and polite. You can walk straight into the beach using the private walkway. The location is next to the ritz and pickup spot for many water activities.

Quiet gem in the heart of Grace Bay

We recently returned from staying in villa 503 at the Villa Renaissance and were thoroughly impressed with our stay there. This was our first time visiting TCI and I think we made an excellent decision to stay here. The location is central to shops and restaurants on Grace Bay. We did rent a car but there were several casual, mid-range and upscale dining options within a 5-10 min walk. There is also a grocery store within 10 min walk. Villa Renaissance is also relatively central to the island. We didn't have to drive more than 20 mins to get to the airport and the calmer south end with beaches like Sopadilla Beach and Chalk Sound or 10 to 15 north toward the Leeward Settlement. The actual resort was well appointed and little touches were noticed. With there being only 28 villas, it never felt crowded at the beach or pool. We had no issues getting chairs and an umbrella on the beach no matter if we showed up at 9am, 1pm or 4pm. The attendant was there to set up additional chairs if needed and there was even a cache of floaties to use. The stretch of beach Villa Renaissance is absolutely gorgeous and is relatively quiet compared to a few hundred yards north where the Ritz and Seven Sands are. There is a small bar by the pool that is serviced by Blu Restaurant. Their food and drinks were solid and they would come out to the beach to take and deliver orders. Our Villa (503) was located in a smaller building behind the main oceanfront one with a pool and garden view. The villa was well appointed with a full kitchen with granite counters, cathedral ceilings and full bath with shower and soaking tub. Some nice touches - coffee is provided as well as soap for the washer and dryer; mats by the bed to help keep beds sand free, small selection of cooking essentials (salt, pepper, spray oil, other spices), coolers to take to the beach and a cart to haul groceries. Housekeeping was seamless and did an excellent job each day. The balcony had a small table as well as 2 cushioned loungers. The balcony was quiet most of the time but there can be some noise from the pool, especially around the afternoon time, but nothing crazy. A couple other things of note is that they have bikes to borrow (free but need to sign out) but we had a car so we did not use this. The fitness center is small but as long as there are no more than 2 people in there, its fine. There are dumbbells, a weight machine, an elliptical, bike and treadmill. There is also a filtered water machine in there, but no towels. Staff was friendly and very willing to help. The GM - Sandeep- was very present. He often came around to ask how our stay was and we saw him a number of times picking up trash along the beach or pool and talking/assisting the employees. If I have to nitpick anything, it is that we had some trouble with the door lock on the villa. It was a keypad, which was nice since we didn't have to carry or remember keys. However the initial code when we got there didn't work but we were promptly given another that worked so no worries there. Toward the end of our stay, we had some trouble with the lock sticking. The annoying part is that once you put in the code, you have to wait about 30 seconds for the lock to reset to try it again. Again, a minor thing and probably some user error involved but might be worth looking into. Overall we were very happy with Villa Renaissance and will gladly return. It is a beautiful resort in the middle of everything while still maintaining a small quiet boutique feel. If you need activities and tons of amenities, this may not be the spot for you but if want a central resort with friendly staff, well appointed rooms and a prime stretch of not overcrowded beach, this is the spot for you. A few recommendations/tips: - The Potcake rescue is across the street and every day between 10am - 1pm you will see people who volunteered to socialize them bring them out the beach near Villa Renaissance. If you are a dog lover, this can be the highlight of your day. If you are not, they usually stay away from you and will not bother you. If you want to take one out yourself, show up before 10am to line up to borrow one. You can even adopt one to take home! - Food is expensive, especially at the grocery store. Bring as many dry goods with you as you can (snacks, peanut butter, cereals, etc). The grocery store in Grace Bay (Gracebay Gourmet) was more limited in selection, we found some cheaper options if you are not brand loyal at the IGA on Leeward Highway. Restaurants are expensive as well but a little closer to what I would expect for a tourist area (I also live in a high cost of living area for reference, may be more of a shock if you live in a lower COL area). - Lower / mid range nearby restaurant suggestions - Turks Kebab, Mr Grouper (curried grouper was amazing), Big Al's (burgers). A little nicer - Bay Bistro (on the water, nice sunsets) Further away - Bugaloo's (best view and conch I had; had a fire dancer on Friday night); Chinson's (awesome jerk) - If you are looking to do a snorkel or sunset cruise, I highly recommend Sun Charters or Island Vibe. Both were more laid back but still fun vibe. Caicos Dream seemed to be the boozy party boat.
