I love this place!!!

I love this place! Our room had a balcony overlooking a cobblestone side street that leads to the ocean. You could see the ocean and hear waves! The beds were comfortable, the room spacious, housekeeping did a wonderful job. We really enjoyed our stay here and want to come back and book the penthouse someday! The neighborhood is wonderful! Right in the romantic zone/old town. We walked to the beach and there are so many coffee shops, restaurants and bars nearby. They had resident dogs --who were so sweet--while I was there which helped us miss our dogs a little less. I don't think anything could have been better. I highly recommend this hotel!

PV Dog Pound

It is like staying at the dog pound. Cockroaches. Very noisy, they have dogs on the property, one dog is friendly and the other dog is aggressive. The patios have damaged furniture. The pool is nasty. The breakfast was toast and mixed fruit. I was told that I would have a king bed . The bed was a double. The drains were slow and hot water is limited. It is an excellent location. The property needs a deep cleaning and tons of repairs. I do not recommend this property.

Do not stay at Villa Mercedes

I sent this to the owner and got no response: Hey. We have stayed at Villa mercedes about 20 times but may not come back. 1. We booked 106, the master suite. You should have told us the ac was broken. The man at the front desk sat made it rather clear he did not care and we could just be hot. After 3 trips downstairs we were given 115, a very small room to sleep in while leaving all our stuff in 106. I really had to push him to help us. We’re told that the AC would be fixed Monday morning. Turns out it is so badly broken. It’s being replaced as we were told later. I do not appreciate this kind of stuff. 2. The nice lady told Us on Sunday that she would move us upstairs to a smaller suite. This is a lot of aggravation on vacation. We are in that suite but we much prefer one06. Again you should’ve told us what we were getting into. 3. The guy here on Monday had no idea that any of this was happening. 4. This is not a fun vacation when we have to deal with all this. If the air conditioning fixed today or tomorrow, do you want to move back into 1:06. That assumes both air conditioners work. The first night we couldn’t get the one in the kitchen to work at all but somebody came up and fixed it. 5. I wrote to the hotel a couple days before we got here and nobody responded. The man at the desk on Saturday said he never saw the email. 6. This room is worth less than the one we have but I have not heard or seen anything about a refund. If you want to ever see us again, they had better be a substantial refund. 7. I asked to speak to the owner yesterday, and so far I have not heard anything. 8. Simply put we are very unhappy with the way you treat us this year 9: Also, the lady that used to make a breakfast and an extra fee is not even here. When she does show up to set up, it’s rather late. 10. Are you guys in financial trouble? If so, let me know and we just won’t stay here anymore. Michael Catalano.

Neighborly and kin

We had a nice 7 night stay. The area is beautiful and easy access to the beach and the neighborhood. We were able to walk everywhere, even to the Malecon from here. The pool was not open for those who like a heated pool. Breakfast in the morning is continental and they are very helpful.

Loud dog on premise

A loud obnoxious dog is on premises so you can’t enjoy the stay. Currently staying next door. We used to stay at Mercedes until one time after COVID they canceled our reservation without warning. Rooms are nice. Pool is dark. Dog is loud
