Beautiful Hotel, amazing staff
We spent 3 nights in Tabulia tree after our flight back home was cancelled. We were the only guests for 2 nights, the hotel was very quiet. This suited us perfectly. The grounds and pool are beautiful, we saw monkeys, Scarlett Macaus, parrots, many birds, iguanas etc...on the hotel grounds. Our boys loved it! The breakfast was served at the "adult only" Issimo suites hotel (sister hotel) which is 5min drive. The breakfast there was delicious and plentiful. What we enjoyed the most though is the smiles and politeness of every member of staff who seemed to be genuinely happy to be working in the hotel. Everyone was so friendly and welcoming, we felt like VIP's. The room was conformable and the partial sea views were stunning. Thanks!

Great accommodations. Mario was awesome bar tending and just giving local information. Good breakfast included and happy hour fun around the pool. We had monkeys out our window one morning, lots of wild birds, you totally feel like you’re staying in the middle of the jungle. Everyone at this resort was super nice. Rooms are comfortable and clean with great views of the sunset.
WHAT CAN I SAY?
We arrived at the Tabula Tree Hotel and Villas by shared shuttle rather than by personal vehicle. The lack of a personal vehicle dramatically affects this review. If we had had a car, I am sure this review would have much more positive. We also arrived at the Tabula Tree Hotel and Villas near the end of our journeys in Costa Rica. In other words, we arrived suffering from a bit of exhaustion and a number of small, but bothersome ailments. We were both eager to return home. Had that not been the case, I know that this review would have much more positive. We found the grounds of “Tabula Tree” to be quite beautiful. Flowers abound and the diversity of flora and fauna is quite amazing. Our accommodations were showing their age, but they were also clean and, unlike other properties at which we had recently stayed, all fixtures worked properly. But the biggest selling point for the Tabula Tree Hotel and Villas is the staff. Very friendly and personable. Henry and Freddy were real joys! There were two negatives. Due to the already discussed lack of personal transportation we were limited to eating only on site, and frankly we found the food served there both over-priced and unattractive. Due to the injuries we had and our lack of mobility, we wanted to reduce our stay from four days to only two. This request was made before our arrival. Management refused to refund any of the fees we had paid. Frankly, I could understand a refusal to refund tor the first two days, but not for the last two. If you have your own means of transportation and you are willing to accept that NO cancellations are going to be refunded, we could recommend Tabula Tree Hotel and Villas. However, if I knew of their attitude towards refunding, I would not.
Mr
Very bad experience and non what so ever did the management respond to my question about our reflection staying at the hotel. They cannot except there is mould in a room from our point of view or take a comment on that they served a drink who did not meet up to our expectations from the day before.
Stunning Resort and Eugene the Bartender is the man.
The staff was extremely nice. Eugene the Bartender was super friendly, had great stories, and always provided a stiff drink. Location is great too see wildlife, so look out for our iguana friend, Hector.
