A nice place with need for some staff improvement

All in all nice resort with an interesting location on the Ostsee coast. Nice architecture and comfortable rooms, offers spa program, boat renting, has a nice restaurant and bar. It would get better rating if not prone to incidents with customers. You may end up being truly frowned upon if you arrive to breakfast lately or if you enjoy it too much and stay too long and approach the time when the breakfast ends. Usually an older blonde, thin lady wearing a medical protection mask shows up frowning and warning you about your 'misdemanor'. Also, an senior male receptionist (called Uwe, I think) insisted on paying accomodation fee although it was already paid (prepaid by a tourist agency which did the booking for the room). Upon he was politely asked to check with the manager, he simply said "No." I was shocked by such a reaction, as it was impossible to reach hotel manager in such a high-end (or supposed to be a high-end) resort! Only after his more approachable colleague, Ms. Carrillo Gomez interventioned, a senior staff member was somehow found and the matter luckily resolved in the last minute for me to catch the train for returning home... So a word of advice: 1) Do not pre-pay for the room, you may be scammed into trying to pay twice 2) If you do, print out the invoice and remind the staff tah you paid for the room every day 3) Avoid dealing with Mr Uwe 4) Wash out the bitternes of possible hostile interactions at the hotel bar

Overrated 5* hotel

Very poor stay. The towels were dirty, the check in was bad due to too many guests (about 15 people in the queue), the food at the Italian restaurants came after 1,5 hours (but it was delicious!) and the breakfast buffet was too busy. The rooms were big and the wellness area very comfortable.

Luxury Baltic Hotel

Located in the extensively regenerated Hohe Dune area close to Rostock and over the water from Warnemunde, this 5 star like hotel has all you could wish for. The staff really make the place, well trained, friendly and attentive. And lots of them. The big buffet breakfast has all to eat until 11am and if you are using the spa you wont need to eat until after that. Big comfy beds in big comfy rooms. Lots with balconies and terraces . Good access to the beach behind and a helicopter pad if you need it. One problem with the place. Really big bright orange floodlights which are shining into rooms and onto balconies. Great to look at from a cruise ship but blinding when you are at the window or on the balcony.

Very nice Spa hotel for a few days of relaxation

All around everything was great. Focus of course the big but still cozy spa area – and also great place for kids since open two times a day (1 hour each) for kids Was there in the Winter and could worry a bit that the bigger crowd in the summer will make the Spa experience less calm. But will for sure come back during the winter again Also, great gym facilities, inside playground for the smallest kids and the breakfast was really nice Only things I could wish to improve was 1. Think the evening dinner options was somewhat limited and a bit low quality com-pared to price + Very simple (pommes frites heavy) dishes for kids 2. The very big pirate ship in the center of the hotel was very nicely made, but only open and available for the (German talking only) daycare the offered. Would like this to be open for all kids (certain times at day perhaps), since my own kids real-ly wanted to get inside and that they couldn’t was a bit disappointing for them

Not for warm blooded people

This property has VERY inadequate air conditioning. If you like it to be hot in the room you sleep in, then you’ll love it. It was 27 Celsius In our room and there was nothing to be done to make it cooler. They also have no fans to bring in such an event. The bathrooms are larger and upscale but again, hot inside. The living room is small and has a great view of the seaport. The sun scorches this in the afternoon making unusable. Overall the resort is beautiful and the staff is friendly. We would only consider returning in the cold months.
