Barata morta no quarto!!
Worst
fifth category, the sheets and pillowcases are dirty, full of hair and torn. I just went to the reception to request clean sheets and I was extremely poorly attended by an ugly-faced employee and I still have to pay $ 165 for a night like this. Absurd.
Breakfast lies and no masks
My boyfriend booked my reservation and called about an upgrade because he's a Wyndham Diamond member. He was assured there would be an upgrade but when I checked in, there was not. He had to call, thankfully, this was adjusted without issue. The gentleman who checked me on was very nice but seemed overwhelmed. I was VERY annoyed to find out, despite the website, the confirmation email, and my reminder email all listing it, there was no free breakfast available. While I understand the pandemic issue and needing to modify services, I don't understand why breakfast was completely eliminated. There is no reason to not have had grab and go, prepackaged, options available. Individual packaged cereal, granola bars, muffins, milk, juice, something. The hotel simply could have asked everyone to dine in their rooms or take the food to go to keep the dining area cleaner. I found out the Home 2 Suites next door didn't have any issues with this. It was really frustrating to have go out and get food when breakfast should have been included. My boyfriend called Wyndham corporate and was highly disappointed that they truly didn't care and didn't think there was a problem with advertising a free breakfast that wasn't available. I had a King Suite but when I went to turn in for the evening, the pull out bed was stripped and there were no extra blankets in the room. I called the front desk and the was a woman there for the overnight shift. I told her I needed an extra set and asked if anyone could bring them. She said no, I'd have to go down to the front desk and abruptly hung up on me. When I got down there, she was not wearing a mask and was handling the bedding up against her whole body. I asked for an extra towel because my mom and I both have very long hair and we only have two towels in the room and she said no, that I would have to bring the old ones down for a replacement. I've never had this issue before, for a single towel. Her attitude was awful and she wouldn't even look at me while talking. I spent the next hour (so until 1230am) up because I felt the need to Lysol the bedding and let it air out, since she had zero regard for the mask policy and had to put the bedding all over her body instead of carry it with two hands. The next morning was smoother. I got two extra towels from housekeeping with no issues. But again, the housekeeper was not wearing a mask so we asked for no service, just to switch out our towels. Thankfully, we also carried a bottle of 80% alcohol sanitizer spray for things that can't be Lysol'd so we hung up and sprayed all the towels. I had to stop by the front desk to ask a couple questions about the area. When I got back to my room, my key didn't work. It turns out, the gentleman who checked me in only set it for one night. So, the hotel price and location were great but it wasn't worth the destress, hassle, and concern for my health. I was in town for a wedding I was in. I booked this weeks in advance and neither the hotel, nor Wyndham, seemed to care about any issues that happened. If there was any other girl available, I would have left. Unfortunately, I was stuck with the sub-par service and have no intentions of staying at this location ever again.
Get what you pay for
Overall it was just okay. The property and room were fine enough, but the bed was incredibly squeaky - mattress probably needs to be replaced. Had an awkward situation upon check-in when the room number we were assigned at the front desk was already occupied when we walked into it - don't know if the clerk forgot he checked someone into that room already or what. Just glad the person in that room wasn't naked, lol! The price was good and the room was decent, a get-what-you-pay for kind of deal. I don't know if I personally would stay here again, but I wouldn't necessarily discourage someone from staying here. Good if you're on a budget.
