We stayd at Hotel Santa Ana on December 2019.
It was for 3 adults, 2 night stay and we booked a room with 3 double beeds as we did not want to share a bed.
The roomitself had a good space, but there were some stairs to go up and then down to get to it, so consider this if you have someone with limited movility.
The bath looked like renew but it was a little bit small, the ceiling was rather low so not good for tall people.
One big thing we noticed was the lack of surfaces to put your things. The only char in the room was storing the blankets for the beds, and there were no additional chars, or table or vanity in the room so this was hards. You usually looks where to put your personal things overnight, or a char to place your bags but there was nothing. So it would be a nice addition if they could add something to the room.
The parking was free, which is a good deal, but is not on the premises but around the corner, and you need to leave your keys. So this oculd be a detractor for people who does not like to leave the car keys to someone else.
But overall, for the prices you can find at San Miguel, this place is a good match and is within walking distance from the center.
They also had a small cafe which I did not had the chance to test but it smelled good and could be a good option because the prices were cheaper than other places.

The Santa Ana is located in an older building that has been nicely spruced up. Room 7 is a large room with 2 double beds above the check in area. The room is nice but beware that there is lots of street noise 24 hours a day.
Exceptional Service, Great Welcome!

We spent a weekend at this property and we arrived after 2;00 am. To our surprise and shock the manager met us at the entrance. He helped us with getting our luggage out of our taxi and promptly took us to our room. He (Rolando) told us to get some sleep and we can check in when we wake up. This was an incredible moment for us as we have never had this level of service and professionalism in any U.S. hotel brand. Long story short, the manager Rolando and his housekeeping team made our stay comfortable and memorable. I would recommend this hotel property to everyone, and although it is small, the management treats you like family. Many thanks to Rolando and his team.
Excellent value for money

Stayed here for one night after refusing to be ripped off with 900 peso a night expat run hotels. We stumbled upon this place and their rate was 550 pesos. The room was excellent with 2 comfortable double beds, a large bathroom, LCD TV with cable, working WiFi and the room was spotlessly clean.
Excellent location, only a few minutes walk from Berlin Bar & Bistro where we chose to dine.
The receptionist was very helpful and told us how we could catch a bus to La Gruta spa without having to pay a fortune for a taxi.
When I return to San Miguel this is where I'll stay
Very bad service

We spent one night, they offered us one of their largest and more expensive rooms. We took it because it was close to everything. They didn't give us a remote control so when we asked about it they said it was't working and promised to take care of it. The TV is very far from the bed so we asked about it many times and their response was "I'll see about it" and never solved the issue. So we checked out the next day.
The problem is that when you have an over priced room, the least you can do is offer good service...and you can always buy a cheap universal remote.
