A lovely treat
We stayed here for 4 nights in February 2020. It's such a gem right in the middle of everything. There were times we had the pool all to ourselves. The weather was amazing and the staff were the best. The front desk, to the gardeners/pool staff, cleaning staff, cooks, everyone was amazing. Breakfasts were lovely and a great way to start your day. There are plenty of restaurants, cafes, bars in the vicinity. Our room was also great. Wish we stayed for longer
Best hotel in Colombia
This place WOW!!! Staff so friendly. So accommodating. We arrived a day early no problems at all. The hotel has a lovely pool spa and areas. Definitely recommend. Particularly if you want to relax after lost city
Amazing hotel right in the Center of Parque de los Novios in Santa Marta. Great rooms, comfy beds, awesome breakfast. The staff was more than willing to accommodate our early breakfast time and the arepas de huevos I highly recommended, super tasty. Great pool as well.
A gem in a great location
It’s lovely inside, a little quirky - interesting retro decor. It’s right on the parque de los novios, so all the popular, good restaurants are easily walkable (even at night as a woman traveling alone—most of the restaurants that were recommended to me were right around the square on well lit busy streets.) The rooftop pool is best enjoyed early morning and early evening - there’s not a lot of shade and the midday sun is fierce. But a bit before the sun starts to set, go out to the pool and order a juice and listen to the jazz trio that plays outside the seafood restaurant next door. I stayed in the room named “café/coffee”, a junior suite on the third floor with a balcony over the pool and a hammock. There’s a room next door that seems the same, with their balcony sharing a wall. There isn’t a restaurant in the hotel, but the included breakfast and ample lunch and dinner options within five minutes walk make that completely fine. You can also order drinks anytime at the hotel. There is a vegan friendly juice/sandwich/coffee shop just next door that is really charming and delicious. Note that it’s not the quietest place because it’s on the square, but that’s really a feature of the place and made me feel safer being in a good, busy area (do be careful of pickpockets in the crowd tho, just in case-there are a lot of tourists around!) Even on Friday and Saturday night, it got quiet by 10 or 11pm. The air conditioning and ceiling fan worked very well; I even got accidentally too cold one night:) Santa Marta shuts down a bit in the heat of the day, so it’s a good time to go for an outing. The hotel offers packages for 8-5 trips to the various sites around the area; I just had them order me a taxi to Minca and then went to visit Finca Victoria, a coffee plantation that gives tours. There were lovely views on the way up, and it was very pleasantly cool compared to Santa Marta (you might want to bring some insect repellent!) The staff was uniformly friendly, cheerful, and helpful. They were patient with my weak Spanish and there was always someone around who spoke English if I needed help. I relied on them for all kinds of advice and they always steered me in the right direction. The property’s been renovated to be accessible, and has a good new elevator. I think there may be one step to get into the lobby. The door is a little hard to find - it’s a big white door with a brass knocker in a blue building. The sign is very small.
A real paradise in Santa Marta
A very charming small hotel reminiscent of the Riad of Morocco and especially with a warm welcome...thanks to its attentive staff, including Eliana and Jesus. Muchas gracias! Un bel hôtel à découvrir!
