Nice Stay at a Heritage Hotel

I was pleasantly surprised that the Hotel Saranac offers a well-appointed, boutique hotel in the Adirondacks. Most lodging in and around the park have a more outdoorsy, rustic theme - which is fitting and expected. Staying overnight here was a nice change for a frequent North Country visitor. I imagine that I was able to enjoy what someone might have experienced a hundred years ago, but with modern appointments. I liked the historic decor of the bright lobby and halls. The restored woodwork of the rooms also gave the hotel a heritage feel. The bathroom was small but fitted well. I was invited out to dinner so I didn’t have a chance to try the restaurant or lounges. I was up early in the morning and appreciated the complementary coffee and tea service.

Parking around back, hassle free and right into the hotel is so great! I was greeted warmly when I got off the elevator, into beautiful surroundings. My check in professional was wonderful, told me all kinds of things, answered questions… I was beat, but she convinced come down to eat, and I am thrilled I did. I love my room. Windows that open for the fresh air. A rain shower and fabulously clean everything. Shoutout to housekeeping! PS. LOVE the make up washcloth. Downstairs for dinner I sat at the bar. Ayesha is a must have professional with a caring and knowledgeable personality. Her suggestions were exactly what I needed after my long drive. My evening was expertly designed and I was so well taken care of. It started with the friendly hello from the hostess and kept on going. Thank you for setting me up for a good night. Going back to my room, I stopped to get a tea at the tables by the elevators. That finished me off to a perfect evening. There is something very special about this hotel. The people, the town, the serenity. For a solo trip, hands down, ten stars. Mgmt-please recognize the young lady at check in and staff mentioned. PS-The beets, Mac and cheese, rocked! Thank you. 610

Restores my faith in the Curio brand

We stayed in late December through New Years and had a wonderful stay. We had stayed at a Curio hotel in NYC earlier in December and was a 2-star rating. Hotel Saranac, the amenities, the Camp Fire restaurant, the staff, and the bar, are all outstanding. We took advantage of the ampersand spa and we were utterly thrilled with the quality of the services. We spent many days in Lake Placid and were relieved to return to Hotel Saranac for peace and quiet. New Year's eve party was open to everyone and the place was rocking. They also had live music in the bar during the week. For a small fee, we were upgraded to a two-room suite which makes a huge difference when staying for an entire week and you have regular luggage and ski equipment. Also a shout out to the Belvedere restaurant in town for their fantastic food and artwork (we purchased a painting hanging in their restaurant).

Hotel Saranac is a special place. The elegance of the restored hotel, the service, and the food (dinner and breakfast) were fabulous. The fire pit on the outdoor terrace was a nice touch. And location, location, location - so close to everything in town. Highly recommend Hotel Saranac.

Spent New Year’s Eve at the Hotel Saranac with family and friends. The quality and presentation of the chateaubriand dinner was amazing. Shout out to our waitress, Cassandra, for taking such good care of us. Drinks and dancing with the Silver Arrow Band in the Great Hall was so much fun!
