It is fine for a short visit. Not ideal for PCSing with tons of stuff

The room was small but would work for a short-term trip. I was there for a month so it was a bit tight. Pillows were filled with plastic capsules and not all that comfortable, so I recommend bringing your own. The fridge was so so tiny. The bathroom was also small but the service was super excellent. Unless you pay for the extra service there is no breakfast included, I don't believe you can even pay there for a meal if you don't have the coupons. The beds were alright, and nothing really notable. I liked that there was laundry available, not expensive for a load. No microwaves in the room but there is a microwave in the laundry that works just fine. Very close to the train station and any food you may need to get. It is about a 30min walk to the front of the Main Base—taxi stalls right across the street from the hotel. The hotel desk did call us at like 20:00 to come to pay a bill since we were staying for so long but I wish they would have called earlier in the day to sort it out since we were already in bed for the night.

Costa coffee

Hotel was great but the coffee shop in the hotel kind of irritated me when looking at the hours. It said 6:45 AM opens but when I went there at 10:00 it was closed... the staff just there doing something unproductive and still closed...

Cozy Retreat

Avaliou em 24 de novembro de 2018

I was able to reserve a room for 3 nights, and I called to book the morning of my reservation. The staff spoke decent English and were able to understand and accommodate me. The weekend I stayed was an American and Japanese holiday weekend, so everywhere else was booked and the rates might have been a little higher than normal (about $100 a night), which I think was a reasonable price. My husband took the bullet train in from Yokosuka to meet me so the location across from Sasebo Station was very convenient. The hotel is about 2 km (30 minute walk) from Sasebo Naval Base as well. I took a cab from the taxi stand across the street into work every morning with no issues — takes about 10 minutes in a cab. The room is small, but cozy. Internet is decent. Not much in amenities but a good place to lay your head down at night. I would definitely stay here again.

Great location but very tired

Avaliou em 6 de agosto de 2018

Pros It is located right above a bus terminal and across railway station. There are shopping centres around. Very convenient to walk around. There is a car park connected with the hotel. This hotel provided extra car park tickets when we asked. It was good for us as we went to Huis ten Bous and the Kujukushima resort by our car. The view from the room is great! I can see the harbour and my little girl really enjoyed watching many ships coming and going. The breakfast was beyond my expectation. As the room condition was so bad and tired, I expected only a small range of Japanese cuisine. However they serve a wide range of menu from Hamburger to Japanese, from fresh salad to cooked meal. I think breakfast contributed to raise my satisfaction with this hotel. The appearance of the building itself does not like very old and tired. However the inside is very different. Facilities in the room were worn out. I guess only wallpaper has been updated since it was opened. The room is extremely tiny. I felt it is even smaller than a room in Tokyo. I stayed one double bed room but I think it could accommodate only one person. Another problem of the room is the layout. The size of the entrance itself is almost the same as bedroom. So much of waste of the space. Lastly, the main photo of the hotel in tripadvisor or hotel booking site is totally different. There is no flower around the hotel. It is a high-rise building including the bus terminal, wedding halls, and other offices. The guest rooms are located from 8th floor and above.

Great Location . Not Enthralled With The Hotel

Avaliou em 25 de julho de 2018

The location is excellent. Above the bus station and right across from the train station. Many shops and restaurants within just a few blocks. And a 15-20 min walk to the base. Very small rooms though. One packet of tea per day, which I don't drink so had to provide my own coffee AND sugar. Though it boasts of more, I only found one small restaurant on the second floor that was every open. Wasn't thrilled!
