Great location in downtown Savannah. Room was clean. We were on the fourth floor which is not pet friendly. Only complaint is the hot water in the shower was not very hot at all. Staff was friendly and helpful.

Check In was super quick! The lady working front desk was very friendly I wish I would have gotten her name also seen she was working the bar if she is the same lady who made my drink YUM!! Also met Mr Cliff he was also super friendly and very helpful can’t wait till next time! 10/10 would definitely recommend!

If it weren’t for the pool, this would be a one star review. It’s currently 1:00 AM and my entire family is struggling to sleep. The walls are paper-thin and we can hear everything. The A/C is horrible! We’re hot and it makes zero sound, which means all the traffic/hallway noises can’t be drowned out. The layout of this room isn’t functional for a family. Not much privacy. We booked this room to get a good night’s sleep and we couldn’t be more disappointed.

We were in town Halloween weekend for a 2 night concert. The hotel is under new management. We got to meet him when we checked in and he is going above and beyond to make changes. He had complimentary champagne in the lobby for guests and you could take it to go if you wanted to. From the time we arrived until we left we had a great experience! When we arrived Yami checked us in and she did an excellent job. She was kind and accommodating to our needs. We were told that the bar closed at 11pm, but when we arrived back to the hotel after the concert, on both nights, they stayed open for a couple more hours. The bartender was great too! The rooms were clean and the beds were comfy. I would definitely stay here again.
Great Stay Overall but Unnecessarily Aggravating Initial Experience

I always use Mobile Check In and it used to work. It seems it never works now. We arrived and called before checking in to make sure room was ready. It was...even though I never got a text, email or app notification. Upon arrival, the parking process is unclear. It looks like this used to be a self park situation that evolved into valet parking. We pulled into the garage and sat while 2 guys were doing who knows what and we just sat at the barricade. When they finally acknowledged us we were directed to park in the handicapped parking and go inside to check in. We asked at this time how the parking worked and the answer was so unclear...."You can park here or you can park on the 2nd floor...." So, you want me to park my own car on the 2nd level of the garage then lug all my stuff down from there to the first floor and back up to the hotel floor. Um, this isn't how valet works. Check in was ok. The front desk staff was very friendly. Again, parking info was unclear. I made it clear that I had a LOT of stuff to unload. The instructions included parking, unloading, then "go up these stairs." So, I'm going to carry my **** ton of stuff up a bunch of stairs? There was a ramp inside behind us that was later apparent, but why tell someone that has a concern over parking and all the stuff they need to lug in that they need to go up the stairs? We went back out and spoke with the valet who again was telling us to park on the 2nd level then bring all our stuff down....Hold on....Again...Do you understand how valet parking works? You want me to drive up into your garage myself, park myself, come down for a cart....or unload on the first floor, then drive up and park myself on the 2nd level and come back down to get my stuff....what? ... and you're charging me for valet parking? It was just all unnecessarily complicated. Like it was everyone's first day. It didn't fit the mold of any other Marriott property that I've stayed at, like the Nashville properties that have a garage, but you use your room key to get in and out and you park yourself. Or true valet parking where are met outside and your car is parked somewhere. I'm still trying to understand the 2nd floor deal. Being a minimalist...it was a neat first experience at an Aloft. I'd definitely return to this location. It isn't the best Savannah location, a bit far west of all the historic area sights and eateries, but still within a reasonable walking distance. It is a bit sketch in the area but not terrible. The front doors are locked at all times for safety. Although we didn't use any of the on site facilities, they were nice. Having a 24 hour pool is virtually unheard of but they have it here. The USB ports in the room were a bit aged. I don't think any of them worked up to par because they were so loose. Our last night, someone decided to shampoo the carpets in the hallways.... Again, if the staff could just clearly communicate the parking situation it would have been a completely different experience. I also choose "Show all Fees and Taxes" when I make my booking decisions and it's disheartening to find out "just kidding, we have additional fees that aren't included in the Fees we gave you."
