We booked a King suite. The kitchen area was dirty. Broken 2 burner hotplate. No silverware, empty paper towel holder, very used dishes and pots & pans. Mold inside the shower. There were previously used shampoo & conditioner bottles - 1/2 used - sitting on top of the shower doors. The only thing good was the bed. It was comfortable and clean. We were on the 3rd floor so it was quiet. The front staff were friendly but really shy. No one stays out front to help guests. You have to say "hello" loudly to get their attention. The breakfast was fine - usual hotel breakfast. The lady who worked the kitchen was very nice & friendly. We probably won't book this hotel again.

Reasonably clean. Very old and stained carpet. Beds were hard. Hotel needs an update. The girl at the front desk was very nice though. Adequate breakfast. Stay on the top floor if possible. Quiet enough if you stay in the back away from the road.

My Very Favorite Place to Stay - Consistently Above Average

This wonderful hotel has been my go-to hotel in this area ever since a client booked me here several years ago and I think it’s time for a re-review, since hotels sometimes change over time. This one has not and is as good as ever. I have stayed in every kind of hotel in this country and abroad and this ranks as my absolute favorite place to stay, exceeding even any five-star hotel I’ve stayed at. Why would I say that? My first concern is always safety, and here I feel completely safe and comfortable going and coming at any time of day or night. Second, this hotel is as clean, maybe cleaner, than my home, inside and out, in the room, the hallways the lobby, the grounds. The room and bathroom are spacious, with all the usual amenities, the water pressure is good, the room is easily cooled or heated, and the internet works well. All the things that I look for in a good hotel are qualities this one possesses and have possessed in all my visits. What makes this one so special? Walk into the hotel, and the lobby has a very welcoming feel, with two separate areas where one can sit comfortably on couches and chairs and visit with friends. The front desk staff are also very friendly and helpful – no formality here – and there on the counter, a plate of homemade chocolate chip cookies. There is hot coffee and juice 24-hours a day. There are stacks of three different local newspapers there for the taking, and even some local magazines. The breakfast is pretty normal for this kind of hotel: bagels and packaged muffins, eggs, sausages, a waffle-maker, cereal – all the usual things. All of it is quite acceptable, nothing special here but quite satisfying. The only fault is that the breakfast area, though well-arranged, is limited by its size and always crowded both in the eating area and the serving area. There is an outside patio if the weather permits. They do the best they can with the space they have and if you want something more, there’s an outstanding family restaurant about ten minutes away. If there is one word to describe this hotel and my experiences here over the years, it would be “reliable,” It is for sure consistently above average, year round and year to year.

Comfortable night for families

Room was large and comfortable for our family of 5. It was a perfect stopping point on our way to NYC. The front desk was so very pleasant and even gave us water and hand sanitizer at check in! Breakfast was pretty standard hotel breakfast- well stocked and staff was very available cleaning tables and restocking items which was nice.

My wife and I enjoyed our stay even in spite of the rooms cleanliness being questionable at best. We enjoyed swimming and working out for the duration of our stay. Our highlight for this hotel is their front desk, Brandy was so kind and welcoming! Great recommendations for food as well! We would return if they incorporate the very desperate need for bleach and windex! Have a great day! God Bless!
