Extremely enjoyable night out .Our meal very good ,to a high standard and well executed with staff very welcoming and professional. Really nice place to sit for a drink also and a relaxing environment - sport on the televisions well done and not intrusive so would suit varied tastes on a Saturday and any other times !

We highly recommend this hotel due to: amazing views from our bedroom, absolutely delicious food, both dinner and breakfast. Veggie sausages were yummy. Staff were lovely and chatty too. The bedroom was clean and tidy, bed was reasonably comfy, but that's probably due to personal preference. The sheets were very clean, very white, and so very very soft. Nice sized room with good quality TV, wardrobe space and even an ironing board and iron. Shower was big and water pressure good. Hotel is being renovated but did not negatively impact our stay in any way. May we just suggest a coupe of things: guests tild re key and electricity cards in the room, as we had no idea how to use them. Perhaps bottled water in the rooms would be a nice touch, and coasters to prevent any stains on your furniture. Please update/finish your website as we're sure with the photos showing the views and your food, you'll be even busier. We'll definitely be returning. Thanks again.

I'd like my money back

Not worth the money and I was charged twice. Booked through Expedia and upon checkout was paying for dinner the night before and was charged for the room. Hotel said they never charged me and refused to refund me. Hallway smelled, and every chair is covered in dog hair in the rooms and in the bar and restaurant downstairs. Only disappointing place we stayed in for the whole two weeks. View doesn't make up for them double dipping with the guests money.

Stayed for one night after a walk in Borrowdale. Evening meal and breakfast were great, staff were very friendly and helpful. Loved the sea view from the bedroom and it was clear enough to see the Isle of Man. Looking forward to coming back and doing the recommended steam train to the waterfalls.

A lovely warm welcome from all members of staff, including the dog. The room was comfy, clean and had a fantastic view. Had evening meals aswell as breakfast, and they were tasty and well worth the money. Would recommend this hotel to anyone. Enjoyed our stay, thank you
