2nd stay
Very clean rooms. Nice pool area. Great breakfast. Just request heat or a/c be on in room. Froze first walked in. Lack of pillows made for interesting sleep. Practice social distancing masks and sanitizer.
Nice clean room
Stayed here 1 night. The check in & out was easy. Masks are required in the public areas. It was very quiet. The wifi didn't work in my room, but I didn't really need it. There was no folding luggage rack on which to place my suitcase. I put it on the chair since I didn't want to put it on the floor. The breakfast was really good, given in a paper bag to eat in the room, but there was a hot biscuit sandwich, fruit, muffin & juice. A little hard to find off the Interstate. It's in a area of multiple hotels & the street was not clearly marked (not the fault of the hotel).
Awesome Hotel!
My family stays here often and we love this hotel, as it feels like home. It is very clean and quiet, and we love the location. We can walk to restaurants and the mall. The staff is very kind and helpful, and some things are different due to the pandemic, but that is understandable. We are happy with how they are handling the situation, and will continue to stay here for all family visits.
Bad wifi
Overall, good value. The hotel is in a very convenient location near highway 29, with lots of stores and restaurants nearby. Front desk staff friendly. Good value for money. Like other reviewers mentioned, WiFi is bad and this should be a fixable issue. Connection in the room is very poor to unusable. Another issue is that the first room we were given was actually not cleaned. This should not happen and reflects on the management. The problem was quickly fixed. I totally understand and support the bag breakfast due to COVID. The breakfast sandwich was tasty and a nice touch.
What a joke!!!!
I stayed there for 2 nights. On the first night all was fine and ok. The second night my husband came with his semi and parked in the parking lot. He had been parked there for a good 6 hours and then all of sudden people started having an issue with his APU running in his semi. When we talked to the person working the front desk about it he said that it was fine and that my husband didn't need to move his truck. He was on a 10 hour break and was sleeping. Well around 11:30 at night I was out getting things out of my car and the next person on shift was walking the parking lot and told me that I needed to wake my husband up and move his semi. So I did and he moved it to the back parking lot in the corner where the previous worker said he could also park. About an hour later there was a pounding on my door. It was the worker telling me that my husband had to once again move his semi to the road. Mind you he was to start with right in front of my room and you couldn't hear his APU running over the loud AC units in the room. And I guarantee there wasn't a AC that wasn't on that night. So I asked him why the worker earlier had said that he was fine to park back there if you were just going to make him move. His response was well he's new so he doesn't know that rules. Well I'm sorry but working somewhere for a year and a half doesn't not count as being new. I called once again and woke my husband up to ask him to again move his semi. When he was moving to the front to move his semi there was a tow truck there that was getting ready to hook onto his semi. There was less than a 10 minute period between the guy knocking on my door and my husband going to move his truck. So that tells me that before the worker even came down to talk to me he had called the tow truck to tow his semi off. My husband drives for 14 hours a day and gets a 10 hour break. Once his truck is set that he's on that 10 hour break it is illegal for him to move his truck. But he did it and was willing to do it again. There was absolutely no reason for a tow truck to be called to tow his semi away. The worker was very rude about it and there seems to be no communication between the employees. First worker said he's fine let him sleep we have semis that park in out lot all the time then all of a sudden the second worker was like nope he needs to go he can't be anywhere on this lot. I don't understand what the deal was. Everyone was so worried about the sound of his semi but there were kids screaming and hollering all night long.
