I stayed there 2 nights the rooms were awful,nowhere to hang any cloths ,no chest of drawers,just a basicroom,a farce from the beginning, the room I though I was going into,was changed en route to this accommodation. I was given a room at the top of the building .All in all poor ,very poor,and to cap it all off,they don't give you your deposit back,I'm still waiting,so avoid like the plaque.

I booked to stay in a luxury apartment with my 2 small children age 5 and 8 from 16-20th August I was left with no check in details and nowhere to stay phonecalls being ignored despite being assured that check in details would be sent to me, we were sat in a bus stop on stanhope Road South shields with no accommodation luckily a friend of mine lubes in South shields and she managed to get us a hotel for the night. Just as we were about to check in I received a phone call from Christopher Spence or Chris Alexander as he also goes by to say that he had no account for us in South shields I said if that was rhe case why was I told that check in details would be sent I was told the woman I spoke to didn't know what she was doing.I was promised a phonecall first thing Tuesday morning I heard absolutely nothing!

Got here at the correct time to be told we had been moved to another place after 2 hours of waiting, the place we was moved to was an disgraceful appartment that could not fit us all, after many text messages i was told they do not have any property on baltic court, the pictures are fake and they will put you no where near the sea front or anything worth seeing! and thats if you get any where, after being moved twice and being sent to what i can only discribe as a crack house, we were placed in a box room for the duration of the stay. These people are con artists avoid this place, the have also tryed to change there name to AA apartments please be aware do not book though booking .com or any other site.

I made my booking with the Alexander apartments on the 16th April 2021 after a previous booking was cancelled because the apartments closed down. I received an email on 3rd July to say they had changed their name to AA South Shields West Park apartments but that this would not affect my booking. The confirmation from The Alexander apartments stated that it was full payment on the day of check in. On the day of check in at 11am I received a WhatsApp message asking me to send a damage deposit to their bank account and a photo of my ID. I sent a WhatsApp message straight back asking how much and what ID was required and that I would rather speak to someone on the phone as I didn't feel this was very secure. No one contacted me. I called the hosts number at 12 noon (before I left on my trip) and asked the lady who answered the same question. She said she would ask a manager and get back to me. 2 hours passed and noone called me back....I had set off on my trip with my husband and 3 year old and 5 year old daughter. I called again...at this point I started to get suspicious. The lady said she couldn't get hold of her manager. I asked her how I get the keys to the apartment when I arrive, she said she would ask her manager. I asked her if there was a problem with my booking, did my family and I have somewhere to stay tonight?...she said she'd ask her manager. An hour passed and I called again, she said she was waiting for her manager to call me. Eventually at around 3pm her manager called (from dubai) to say he was trying to find someone to meet us at the apartments but we couldn't check in at 3pm. He would call be back in 20 minutes. 20 minutes passed and still no call. Over an hour passed and still no call. I tried both numbers I had for the manager and the office and they both went to voice mail. Then at 4.40pm he manager called. They had double booked our apartment. They could put us up in another apartment in Sunderland which they said was 10 mins away. (IT IS NOT 10 MINS AWAY ITS AT LEAST 20MINS) This was no good as we were attending a family wedding and had family staying in South Sheilds that we were planning to meet up with at the beach and for a meal etc. So to summarise.... The AA SOUTH SHIELDS WEST PARK OR ALEXANDER APARTMENTS left my 3 and 5 year old daughter, my husband and myself with no accommodation at 4.40pm on the day we were due to check in after me calling them at 12 noon before I set off that day to check. They knew the whole time that they had double booked us and noone had the decency to tell us so we could arrange alternative accommodation before we left our home. This, I feel, is a disgusting way to treat a family let alone a paying customer. To add insult to this they have taken the money from my account the day before we checked in. In my eyes unlawfully. The owner is obviously a tax dodger living in Dubai who doesn't care about his staff or his customers.
