A localização é um pouco afastada do centro da cidade, mas acomodações são excelentes. Quartos muito confortáveis e limpos, o banheiro era muito bom, com ducha e banheira ótimos, e aquecedor de toalhas. A televisão a cabo realmente funcionava, e o café da manha estava muito bom. Funcionários atenciosos e prestativos.
Staying during Covid
We were really impressed with our recent stay at the Holiday Inn Southampton. My Husband and I are key workers and this is one of a few hotels in the area that is open to us. It is located within walking distance of the cruise terminal and the town centre. As you are only allowed to stay if you are a key worker, a member of staff contacted us on the day to confirm that we had the relevant documentation, which we did. The check in was quick and efficient with zero contact. We were advised there was limited room service, more than I expected to be honest. The room was lovely with a view of the port. There was tea and coffee available the next morning, not sure about breakfast, maybe a takeaway one may have been available. Checkout was as quick and efficient as check in. Well done to Louise on reception for being so helpful and friendly. Will definitely stay again.
Stopped here twice over the last two weeks during lock down. I have to say what a lovely hotel and nice staff. Both Thursday evenings I’ve checked in the lady on reception has been so nice and attentive. Views from the hotel are great, spent last night watching the ships.
Great hospitality from the staffs
My mother under went an operation at Royal South hospital and we wanted to stay somewhere .we tried finding any accommodation but no luck .At last we called the Holiday Inn and the lady at reception was happy to help .she checked with the Hotel Manager and all was sorted quickly .During the stressful time I really appreciate the help .
I have tried to book a room at this property due to the fact that we are moving home and I was refused by the receptionist and the manager. Simply the guidelines for the essential workers have been changed by the Government on the 4th June and one of the new additions to Regulation 5 and 6 () specifically allow those in need to access hotels. I have clearly expressed my intent to the manager over the phone and despite me explaining about the new guidelines, the answer was "I'm sorry, why are you not driving back if you are moving home and choose to stay in a hotel instead?". Well, because I can not drive over 6 hours everyday and still be able to accomplish my tasks in time. The next reply was "I'm sorry, we can not accept your booking" - Simply a breach of the law. Last but bot least, I am a key worker and posses the right documents which allow me to work anywhere in the UK without restrictions. Thank you so much for your hospitality - it is certainly what brought your guest satisfaction to nearly below average. I am now going to spread the word on all social media platforms for those in need to be aware.
